Purpose: The purpose is to provide a detailed review of the advancing technologies used in the arena of interventional cardiology. A nice concise text such as this one is definitely needed. The basic objectives of this book are clearly met.
Audience: This book is written for the interventional cardiology fellow and attending physician. The authors are very credible in their respective fields.
Features: The illustrations are very pertinent to this book with good quality and appropriate quantity. The references are fairly current and definitely pertinent. The overall appearance of the book is average.
Assessment: This is a very useful book for the interventional cardiology fellow and practicing interventional cardiology attending. Because of its concise yet complete nature, this book should prove to be invaluable. I highly recommend it to be on the bookshelf of all hospital medical libraries and medical book stores. The interventional cardiology fellow in particular should find this book to be a worthwhile purchase.
