Barnes & Noble - Lisa Zhito
The blend of Latin, R&B, and rock sounds that defined Salvador on their breakthrough self-titled debut get a fresh spin on this second disc from the seven-member outfit. Here, Salvador find new melodic elements beneath the fiery dance beats; we have intricate layers of sounds, a blending of delicate acoustic guitars with Latin percussion, even a straightforward Top 40 pop ballad. A case in point is "City on a Hill," an infectious, punchy number that opens with gentle jazz, then launches into full-throttle Blood, Sweat & Tears-style horns. "God People" and "Mighty King of Love" will bring fans to their feet as well. Mellower tracks like "Black Flower" and "Worthy" may drag a bit, but the ballad "When I Pray" is a real winner.

    a lil' disappointed

To be honest, this album isn't as good as Salvador's first album, Salvador. It's okay, but it simply can't beat the first. This one has less emotion, I believe--they tried too hard on Into Motion, or maybe too little.
