David Barnett made his bones, what feels like half a million yea

David Barnett made his bones, what feels like half a million years ago, putting out some of the very best hardcore horror money could buy. Clearly age has not mellowed him or the kind of stories he likes.
I tend to be rather hit and miss with anthologies liking some pieces and others not so much but all these stories grabbed me from the very beginning and didn’t let go. It’s not often I can say that. As I writer I find I’m generally a bit too harsh as a critic, but I must say there isn’t much to complain about here. It’s quite the roller coaster ride through dark and gruesome territory, not so much off the beaten path as it is-we didn’t know there was a path.
I’ve never seen the point of-I liked this part, didn’t like that part reviews-your mileage will vary. What matters is that this is the real deal. It's adult horror for adult readers by people who know their business. It won’t waste your time or your money.
Give it a read. I expect you’ll be glad you did.
