Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Renee Farrah Vess
The second book in the "Hiro's Quest" series follows Hiro and his family in their adventure to reach the Amulet of the Sun before the evil Fujita. Hiro is the only one (except his father) that can weld the power of the sun, but he is still working on mastering his monkey spirit and ninja skills. However, when his parents are captured, and his older brothers Kenta and Kazuki are bickering moon welders, it is up to Hiro to keep the group together with his friends, Aya and Yoshi. But Hiro can only be successful once he gains self confidence, taps into the strength of his monkey animal spirit, and stops underestimating him. Hiro needs to reach the volcanic hiding place for the sun amulet to prevent Fujita from ruling over the kindgom of Kenkoro, and rescue his own parents. A simplistic, lighthearted book geared toward those who love ninjas, animal spirits, and adventure. The back of the book also contains a character description list, and a brief note about the difference between European dragons and Asian dragons. Reviewer: Renee Farrah Vess

    Great Series

My fourth grade son is not a big reader, but he really liked this series. He never complained about doing his reading time while he was reading this series and even chose to read on his own!
