After reading this book, I hated the fact that the only reviewer left a rating without actually reading it. I found it unfair and completely unnecessary. From the first page I was completely hooked, and as the story unfolded I couldn't put it down. As his debut solo novel, BT did a fabulous job and I can't wait for the sequel! It was amazing!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book, for me, was an emotional roller coaster. Being from Missouri, it was easy to immerse myself into the story, just a bit more. Looking forward to the next one in the series.

I was provided a free copy in exchange for an honest review. I just finished reading Into the Nothing by BT Urruela and OMG!!! This is one romance story that does not follow the formula a lot of stories seem to follow lately and I love original storylines!!! Into the Nothing is the first book of the Broken Outlaw Series. This is the story of Xander Evans who is serving time for a murder he did not commit. Paige Watson is the woman he loves and the daughter of the woman Xander is in prison for murdering. Most of the book is Xander’s flashback to events that led up to the murder and you are introduced to a number of characters that leave you wondering if one of them are the ones that really committed the murder. The real murder is someone that I originally suspected but then dismissed. I certainly wasn’t expecting the final reveal! I love it when stories make me question everything I originally thought and make me want to go back and see if there was some clue or indication that I missed the first time I read the book. I’m not even sure if you could really categorize this into one genre of romance books. I think I would probably call this a murder-mystery/romantic suspense with some really great sexy scenes! I love the fact that there is a twist in the story I was not expecting and I am normally pretty good at figuring out the twists before they happen. This is an original story that will keep you guessing. I can’t wait for book two, I hope it has even more twists and turns and leaves me guessing even more!

The prologue of Into the Nothing did a great job of pulling me into the story and making me want to know more about Xander and how he ended up in prison. It also fed into my wariness of many of the other male characters in the story, thanks to their glaring flaws. I was always on the lookout for clues for who committed the murder. I liked Paige right away. Her family was both inviting and entertaining, and I loved their open and honest relationship. Seeing Xander become a part of that and watching Paige start to break down Xander's walls was very satisfying. Learning about his past was very sad, yet eye-opening. It showed where all his broken edges came from and why he behaved as he did in certain situations. There were good and not so good behaviors that came out of that. Either way, I enjoyed watching Xander and Paige grow closer in spite of all the difficulties laid before them. There was a certain beauty to how they came together. There was so much turmoil that led up to the fateful night of the murder, and I wasn't sure about who I wanted to blame. I was eager to read the next phase of the book as it bounced back to the present and see what would happen next now that the background had been sufficiently built. There was so much irreparable pain and heartache to be had after the murder and it hit me hard. Even as things started to look up for Xander, there was trust to rebuild and there were questions to answer. When Paige learned the truth, I was definitely shocked by the severity of it and how close she came to being the next victim. I was glad for the closure, although naturally it did not heal all of the wounds. After reading the epilogues, I was very eager to read the next installment of this series. I wanted to know what was next for Xander as he continued to search for his sister. This was a fantastic read that kept me on the edge of my seat in suspense. Throughout the book, I felt such strong emotions (both positive and negative) for many of the characters. I love stories that keep me in their grasp this way. I am very much looking forward to reading more of B.T.'s books soon.

I love new authors. This is BT Urruela’s solo book and it was good. I’m a sucker for a mystery and the way the story began drew me in immediately. When the book first opens, we are introduced to Xander Evans, who is serving a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. The story is told in a flashback to three years prior. He was a loner, who made friends with and received a job from the Watson family. He comes to care for and falls in love with Paige Watson, the daughter. Paige falls in love with Xander, a stranger to her. BT creates just enough mystery as to who kills Paige’s mother to keep me guessing until the very end - which is very hard for me. I’m usually the kind that figures out who done it early on and I tend to spoil it for everyone else. But this book actually surprised me. The love story in this book was special. It wasn’t rushed and it made sense. This was not a “everything is going to be okay” story, but it was so good. BT’s use of secondary characters makes this story believable. This was a fantastic job for a debut novel. I can’t wait to read the next book in this new series. 4.5 stars!

This isn't your typical love story of boy meets girl, they fall in love, and live happily ever after. This is about a young man and a young woman that fall in love, and then tragedy strikes. And it keeps knocking them down. Xander hasn't had an easy life. He has never known what it is to have someone you can count on, who loves you unconditionally, and is there for you no matter what. He has never had a family. However, once he finds that family, he sees what it is really like, how they support and love each other, and he is brought into that, he doesn't want to let it go. Yet, when tragedy of the worst kind strikes, he does what he has to do to try and protect those he loves more than himself. Paige is a young woman that has been brought up with a loving, supporting family that was always there for her. When things were at her lowest with her ex, they were there to help her and support her. She knows that those people are there to help her stand up and stay strong. When these two people find each other, will they be able to move past their pain and accept who the other person really is? Will Xander be able to open up? Will Paige be able to support him? Will she be able to forgive him? Will they be able to trust each other even when it seems there is no reason to trust?

Xander and a really rough life and has been wandering from town to town trying to find his place but not wanting to put any roots down. On his way to see his sister in Washington, he makes a stop in a small town in Missouri. While at a bar he sees the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen and defends her honor. Her dad proceeds to invite him over for dinner to thank him and ends up offering him a job on the family vineyard. Xander becomes very close to the family but like everything in his life there are obstacles and people standing in the way. This was a really fast paced, quick read that just sucks you in. Xander of course had me completely captivated. Who doesn’t love a manly, respectful hottie. Anytime he stepped in and was like “I’ll take care of you” I was swooning from here to the moon. Paige and Brandi reminded me so much of my friends and I. Well at least together. Paige made me want to shake her and tell her to shut up sometimes haha. I absolutely loved Jack. He was such a teddy bear dad and had such a big heart. Even though I loved all the characters, nothing prepared me for the absolute craziness that goes down. I mean seriously, MIND BLOWN. Ugh and the way it ends. I need to know so much more!!! Needless to say … GO READ NOW!

I had been looking forward to reading Into The Nothing for a long time. I found the blurb intriguing, I read teasers that left me craving more, I fell in love with the cover and BT Urrulea had this hashtag saying #notanormalHEA which was just taunting me. It piqued my curiosity and I wouldn't have been able to let it go even if I tried (not that I tried). As per my usual reviews, I'm not going to summarize what the book is about. I don't believe in giving much more information than what the author intends for you to know from the blurb. What I can say is this is not a cookie-cutter romance. There are conflicts I never saw coming. And subplots just as intriguing as the main plot. There are parts that I found really emotional and others that made me laugh out loud, but the story was consistent from start to finish. And it is very suspenseful! And BT does suspense extremely well! Into the Nothing was also full of very dynamic characters. BT did a phenomenal job in creating individuals that I either fell in love with or hated with a passion. The two main roles, Paige and Xander, whose points of view the story is told through, are such strong, well developed and sophisticated characters that I could have sworn they were real people. I connected deeply with them both and every emotion that they felt, I felt it with them. The same rings true for each and every one of the characters written in this book. They all took me on the most twisted and curvy emotional rollercoaster ride of my life. This book is like nothing I've ever read before. I fell in love with BT Urrulea's writing style because it has a unique edge to it. There was a grittiness that I've never felt in a book before and I welcomed the new experience. He stayed true to himself and wrote this book with intense, raw passion and it shows in the best way possible. Into the Nothing is definitely a 5 star read. I'd give it all the stars in the sky if I could.

I was absolutely blown away by this book. It was so different from what I was expecting. I went into this book expecting a gritty, raw story, but Xander and Paige's story was beyond gritty, beyond raw. On the outside, it seems that Paige had the perfect life. Loving parents who she has a fantastic relationship with, a best friend who totally gets her, is hilarious and is the yin to her yang. But there are always scars that you cannot see. Xander is the perfect bad boy who is working hard to pull himself away from his past. He is fiercely protective of those he cares about. He has a strong innate sense to protect Paige at any cost and not let anyone harm her. This story was filled with twists and turns, many I never saw coming. I found myself looking for any pocket of time in my day to sneak in a chapter and stayed up way beyond sensible to finish the book. I could not go to sleep without knowing if Xander and Paige were going to be ok. I absolutely love BT Urruella's style of writing. It is not overly wordy, but you really get a sense of the scene he is trying to portray. I laughed, cried, sighed and even gasped on more than one occasion while reading. This is one of those stories that will stay with you for a while after reading. As this is the first book in the Broken Outlaw series, I will be waiting on pins and needles fro the next story to come out.

A fantastic read, but I am starting my review off with my reason behind giving this book a 4 star rating. There were a few parts of the book that I felt were boring, and I had to push myself to continue on, but I'm so glad I did. Don't get me wrong, the writing was fantastic, but sometimes the conversations between characters dragged on a little too long, or really didn't add to the story. I think if those conversations had been edited down, I might've been giving it a 5 star rating instead. Xander and Paige's story wasn't what I expected. It was so much more! It contained everything I love in a great book: likeable characters, interesting storyline, romance, humor, great banter, sexual tension, drama, mystery, and twists you never see coming. The conclusion of this story...just WOW!!! Consider my mind blow, BT! I honestly never predicted that ending, but man you freaking nailed it. I definitely look forward to future work from this author.

Absolutely loved this book. I read a LOT of books, around 200 a year. I usually finish book in a day or two and say NEXT. This one, I wanted to sit with for awhile. The characters reminded me of real people, not cardboard cutouts. Author BT Urruela weaves an excellent story and I can't wait to see what he creates in the future.

Into The Nothing, Book 1 in the Broken Outlaw Series by BT Urruela is a must read from his solo writing debut. It is a Suspense Romance that is a page turner that I was given. Into The Nothing is told from the dual points of view of the main characters, Xander Evans and Paige Watson. Xander Evans has been on the move for years, part running from his past and part searching for a place of rest for his troubled soul. Xander does realize that “Women are my Kryptonite and love is foreign to me.” Paige Watson life seems perfect, but everyone has marks on their soul; some just not as deep. Paige is surprised by “Four days since I felt my heart grab hold of him.” Xander and Paige are both surprised by their connection. All seems to be moving toward healing until one fateful night. BT Urruela again shares very personal looks into his life’s bumps. The very realistic look at the need to use alcohol and drugs as a misguided coping patch is spot on. Into The Nothing has great mutable storylines involving secondary characters. BT Urruela has very intelligent word use along with interesting analogies, references and poetry. The angst and surprise twist for Into The Nothing will hold your attention and leave you with a Big Wow moment by The End. I think you will be as happy with Into The Nothing as I was, give it a try. I am looking forward to book 2 of BT Urruela’s Broken Outlaw Series. Thanks BT Urruela & Good Writing

Just WOW! The writing was incredible and I was captivated from prologue to epilogue. BT's Into the Nothing is a book with soul. It's real and it's packed with life problems that don't necessarily have easy solutions. Xander is his own person. He has manners and respect yet battles his past and still needs to confront his future. Can his heart find peace while on his quest for closure? Will Xander ever be able to see more than nothing? Paige. Beautiful, funny and supportive Paige. Will she find a friendship in Xander that can last a lifetime? Can her family accept her heart's find? Will she be able to move forward without the shadows of her past? This book, this author...it's hard to explain how well written this is. You're just going to have to trust me. I'm the typical Harlequin reader that loves spoilers and the HEA. But Into the Nothing, just OUTSTANDING! It's not dark but it's not hearts and roses. It's life. It's living. It's you moving forward when you think you can't. I recommend this book 100%. I'm so moved by it that it might warrant a reread. HINT...I rarely, if ever, do rereads.

Judging by the cover, I might be interested in this book but with no description, I'm not willing to take the risk. There are several storylines that I just don't do. I hope the author decides to give us a clue or if anyone has read this maybe they will write an informative review?
