This book is a great overview of the entire field of global health / international health, including both science and policy. The chapters on infectious disease are particularly interesting.

This book does a great job of covering global health while using few words. It distills a large amount of information into a concise book. The chapters are well written and logically presented. It is up-to-date and easy to read. It presents important statistics and discusses the importance of each of them.
