This book has not helped me in understanding basic concepts and I have resorted to consulting another textbook. I do not think this book is an adequate introductory textbook because it does not share information with the reader. There are too many gaps or missing pieces of information which the author probably assumed to be generally known to a beginner. Therefore, the title describing the book as an ''Introduction'' is misleading, especially since a lot of information is missing. My friends and I are suffering with this book.
This book was a waste of my money. I purchased the book thinking that it would be very useful as a resource. In reality, I end up looking for techniques on the internet to solve the homework problems. I highly recommend NOT purchasing this book. This book has brought nothing but trouble to the other students in the class and the TA.
