Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher
"This text would be the book we have been searching for, as it takes the student to a deeper place. I am deeply moved by this book and the author's sensitivity to issues that impact all of us as global citizens...Thank you for the opportunity to read this manuscript—It was refreshing and supports the strength perspective that I incorporate in my teaching philosophy and practice stance."

"I do not know of any book that I would identify as close to this one in spirit. This is the only truly engaging Intro/Policy text that I have ever read. In part, it is interesting because of the author's obvious passion for the topic. The amount of new material is vast, to the extent that the book is as much revolutionary as evolutionary...It is brilliant, fact-filled, and inspirational!"
