Overview

Rumiko Takahashi's Epic! Now Unflipped!

Reads R to L (Japanese Style), for audiences T+.

Kagome is an ordinary modern schoolgirl living an ordinary life. Who would have thought the dried-up old well on the site of her family's shrine would be a gateway to Japan's ancient past? Drawn through the gate against her will, Kagome finds herself battling demons for control of what she thought was a worthless trinket but is actually a powerful magical gem, the Shikon Jewel! Together with an unlikely ally, the half demon Inuyasha, Kagome begins a quest to recover the shards of the Shikon Jewel and learn more about her link to the past.

Trapped! Trapped inside holy Mount Hakurei with Naraku, Inuyasha loses his demonic powers. Bad timing... The leader of the Band of Seven, a gang of undead assassins, has absorbed the Shikon shards from his fallen comrades, making him an even more formidable foe! Then Naraku reveals his true purpose in hiding inside the mountain... Inuyasha has a premonition of doom, but arrives too late, finding only Kikyo’s broken bow! Evil Kagura and demonic baby Hakudoshi search for the border between the afterworld and the world of the living, where the last Shikon Jewel shard is said to be. Will Inuyasha and friends reach this last powerful piece of the puzzle before their enemies...?

Meet the Author

Rumiko Takahashi won an honorable mention in Shogakukan's annual New Comic Artist Contest for Those Selfish Aliens. Later that same year, her boy-meets-alien comedy series, Urusei Yatsura, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. This phenomenally successful manga series was adapted into anime format and spawned a TV series and half a dozen theatrical-release movies, all incredibly popular in their own right. Takahashi followed up the success of her debut series with one blockbuster hit after another. Other notable works include Mermaid Saga, Rumic Theater, and One-Pound Gospel.

Love it.

I love this series. I just wish you carried more choices in the store so I wouldn't have to purchase them online and pay an arm and leg for shipping. Your store's manga selection is minute. Please stock up and expand, not consolidate. There are more people interested in anime and manga than you think. Thanks so much for carrying this online!!!

Inuyasha is the best manga ever, and this is one of my favorite books. Sango is my second favorite charecter, next to Miroku, and I adore this book! The fight with the water god was awesome and the *almost* kiss scene between Sango and Miroku was classic! I've seen the episode on adult swim, though, so I don't know why I ranting and raving like this.
