( 16 )

Overview

Inu-Yasha fights to protect Kikyo and Kagome from the demon pit, whose denizens have produced powerful monsters. Just as victory is near, Kikyo allows one demon to escape and inhabit Naraku. Then Totosai comes to Inu-Yasha seeking protection from Seshomaru, who has stolen one of the swordmaster's blades - a sword that gives life instead of taking it. Inuyasha made its U.S. debut summer 2002 on the Cartoon Network.

Meet the Author

The spotlight on Rumiko Takahashi's career began in 1978 when she won an honorable mention in Shogakukan's annual New Comic Artist Contest for Those Selfish Aliens. Later that same year, her boy-meets-alien comedy series, Urusei Yatsura, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. This phenomenally successful manga series was adapted into anime format and spawned a TV series and half a dozen theatrical-release movies, all incredibly popular in their own right. Takahashi followed up the success of her debut series with one blockbuster hit after another—Maison Ikkoku ran from 1980 to 1987, Ranma 1/2 from 1987 to 1996, and Inuyasha from 1996 to 2008. Other notable works include Mermaid Saga, Rumic Theater, and One-Pound Gospel. Takahashi won the Shogakukan Manga Award twice in her career, once for Urusei Yatsura in 1981 and the second time for Inuyasha in 2002. A majority of the Takahashi canon has been adapted into other media such as anime, live-action TV series, and film."

#13 synopsis, for people who want to know what it's about

This is from the back of the #13 book: The demon Naraku, more powerful than ever, continues to manipulate Inu-Yasha and his cohorts with his illusions. Even worse, the priestess Kikyo seems to be working with this mysterious demon! Could things get any worse? Well, yes...when Inu-Yasha's brother , Sessho-Maru returns... Overal it's a satisfying addition to the series, but then, all of the books are satisfying!

    Inu-Yasha is the BEST

Inu-Yasha rocks!!! It's funny, romantic, and even a little dramatic. It has everything a good book needs. Rumiko Takahashi has out done herself. You should buy the entire series, because once you have read one your hooked!

I know it's not out yet, but Rumiko Takahashi is the best graphic novel writer/artist I've ever seen so the book is bound to be good.
