Overview

Kagome is a modern Japanese high school girl. She has always been the sort who never really believed in myths and legends, until one day when a hideous. Otherworldly creature pulls her out of her own world and into Japan's ancient past! There she discovers more than a few of those dusty old legends are true, and her destiny is linked to one legendary creature in particular-a doglike half-demon called Inu-Yasha! That same trick of fate also ties both of them to the Shikon Jewel, or " Jewel of Four Souls," the smallest shard of which can gift the user with unimaginable power.

Meet the Author

The spotlight on Rumiko Takahashi's career began in 1978 when she won an honorable mention in Shogakukan's annual New Comic Artist Contest for Those Selfish Aliens. Later that same year, her boy-meets-alien comedy series, Urusei Yatsura, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. This phenomenally successful manga series was adapted into anime format and spawned a TV series and half a dozen theatrical-release movies, all incredibly popular in their own right. Takahashi followed up the success of her debut series with one blockbuster hit after another—Maison Ikkoku ran from 1980 to 1987, Ranma 1/2 from 1987 to 1996, and Inuyasha from 1996 to 2008. Other notable works include Mermaid Saga, Rumic Theater, and One-Pound Gospel. Takahashi won the Shogakukan Manga Award twice in her career, once for Urusei Yatsura in 1981 and the second time for Inuyasha in 2002. A majority of the Takahashi canon has been adapted into other media such as anime, live-action TV series, and film."

Inuyasha excites me and my sister more than anything. We' ve never missed an episode. When he's not cursing and killing people he is actually a good hero. Koga's also a daredevil.

This one is my favorite because this is where they first show Koga. Koga is a Wolf demon. In this book it shows a lot of jealously from a certain Hanyou. An it's funny how Inuyasha and Koga argues. I think you'll enjoy this book just like i did.

This is the best! I love this vollume more than any of the other ones out. It is so incredible. It also has the appearence of Kouga and Rin. They spell Kouga's name like Koga though. But who cares! I love this one and can't wait for volume fifteen to come out!
