Meet the Author

The spotlight on Rumiko Takahashi's career began in 1978 when she won an honorable mention in Shogakukan's annual New Comic Artist Contest for Those Selfish Aliens. Later that same year, her boy-meets-alien comedy series, Urusei Yatsura, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. This phenomenally successful manga series was adapted into anime format and spawned a TV series and half a dozen theatrical-release movies, all incredibly popular in their own right. Takahashi followed up the success of her debut series with one blockbuster hit after another—Maison Ikkoku ran from 1980 to 1987, Ranma 1/2 from 1987 to 1996, and Inuyasha from 1996 to 2008. Other notable works include Mermaid Saga, Rumic Theater, and One-Pound Gospel. Takahashi won the Shogakukan Manga Award twice in her career, once for Urusei Yatsura in 1981 and the second time for Inuyasha in 2002. A majority of the Takahashi canon has been adapted into other media such as anime, live-action TV series, and film.

    All I can say is....wow.

Inu Yasha is truly the greatest manga ever! You won't be able to put the books down, and you'll always want the next one. The anime is also entrancing, so you should go and check it out if you enjoyed the books.

InuYasha Anime,Magna Seires(wich you would never like to miss)EVER !!!!!!!

Inuyasha is based on the(Sengoku Jidai)or The Fudal Worior States of Japan.15-year old Kagome Higarashi left for school on her birthday when her whole life changed in an instant.First of all bieng dragged out of your own world by a demon(most likely) was enough but accidentally freeing the well known half breed Inuyasha and shattering the Shikon Jewel or'Jewel Of Four Souls. But now Knowing that she was the rencaranatoin of a dead preistess has on choice of teaming up with Inuyasha to recover all the shards of the jewel to restore it to its original state......Well thats the general idea anyway.I relly recommend this because it just takes you away and make you forget what ever is bothering you or you wold probally what to forget.

    Inyuasha Rules!

Inyuasha is one of my fave Mangas. It's all about a half demon, a reincarted priestess, and a whole bunch of wierdos. They are looking for a shatterd jem that amplifies demonic powers. Cool huh?
