Overview

The invasion of Alaska has begun. And the Third World War may not be far behind.

In this controversial book, Vaughn Heppner explores the theme of a shattered America facing the onslaught of the new colossus in the East: Greater China.

The time is 2032, and the Chinese are crossing the polar ice and steaming through the Gulf of Alaska. They have conquered oil-rich Siberia and turned Japan into a satellite state. Now a new glacial period has begun, devastating the world’s food supply. China plans to corner the world’s oil market and buy the needed food for their hungry masses.

A weakened America uses old technology against the next generation of military hardware. The invasion unleashes the Hell of battle as two armies turn the snowfields of Alaska red with blood.

Invasion: Alaska is a thundering techno-thriller of vast scope from bestselling author Vaughn Heppner.

    Excellent story

This was a great story. Yes while there were noticeable grammatical and spelling mistakes it was still a fully engrossing plot with likeable (and dispicable) characters. Well thought out with a believeably scary future for America and China both. I'd love to see a sequel because yes this ended somewhat suddenly. A quick read with a title that promises results.

    Great series!

You can't read just one - The one complaint I have about the whole series is that they really get you going - things are very believable and fast moving! But the story as a whole has been left hanging in a horrible way - there has to be another book to finish what is going on. You just don't do that to your readers!

    Very Good Adventure

Story of possible future conflict between China and the USA. Characters are interesting and the story both moves along quickly, and the story line is credible. Good adventure story. I enjoyed it and will move on to Mr Heppner's other works.

    Page Turner

The three book series is a good read and I hope he decides to write more. The US needs to come back!

    Highly Recommended

I actually read the sequel (Invasion: California) before reading this one. Though I enjoyed both novels, I think this one feels more "authentic."

The author demonstrates a decent grasp of the difficulties involved in launching a cross continent invasion adding a great deal of verisimilitude to his scenario. The characters are believable and the battle scenes plausible and the politics, sadly, all too possible. The ending is also credible, given the author's world building.

The highest praise I can give for this book, as well as the entire series, is that I want to find out what happens next.

Scary possibilities which makes it a great read

As you read this story you start to realize that this could actually happen. Which to me had me constantly reading. Thankfully the next book in this series was ready and I didn't have to wait months for the continuing story. Almost finished with book two and I pray book three is ready or near ready so that I don't loose interest. Author Vaughn Heppner has a great grip on current events and melds them into a future that can occur so easily. Read the series and let it open your eyes. Keep up the great work!!!
