“Rogers’s advice is sage: Stick with nations where hard-nosed bureaucrats push fiscal reforms, maintain sound currencies, advocate free trade, and stay out of areas best left to the private sector. And Rogers also dishes up ample adventure.”—BusinessWeek

Read Jim Rogers' book and find new purpose for your own life. While not everyone can make millions, retire young and travel around the world on a motorcycle, they certainly can aspire to doing something with their life beyond the boring, repetitive drudgery that passes for 'living' in consumer-oriented America.
I read the book when it first came out a number of years ago and it provoked me to plan out my own around the world ride on two Harleys with a friend. Regrettably that journey never took place but i did ride coast to coast and border to border plus six provences in Canada and 12 European countries. I am an investment advisor with 40 years in the business and i believe this book might have been one of the seminole works i have ever read.
Investment Biker wasn't at all what I expected. And that explains why it took me so many years to crack the cover. As it turns out Jim is one of the original "adventure bikers" and his journey was not only ambitious it was daring for the time period he did it. The book offers a snapshot of the world situation around 1990. And what otherwise might be considered drab, Jim's explanations of world economics and investments, is actually fascinating to read and not at all dull or dry. I highly recommend this book to those both adventure bikers and those interested in world economics/investing. Jim has a lot to say and I closed this book for one heck of a lot of respect for the man. You will, too.
