Michael,I'm gonna miss you

I may be the first to write a review after MICHAEL JACKSON'S death.It really bothers me that this world has really gone to the jugular to try to destroy all of the people who are famous and are sincerely abide in TRUE LOVE.This world is not capable of accepting that a man can have so great of a need for abiding in the comfort of childhood.....something that he never was allowed to live out when he was biologically a child.Everything was thrust at Michael Jackson at the wrong time in his chronologic development.It is no wonder that he lived in a bubble world of fantasy.....of the simple childlike innocence.I do not believe that Michael Jackson was capable of doing the sick things he was accused of.Yes, he was considered eccentric. Yes,he did things that were not wise ,like hold his baby over the rail.He was a twisted individual who did not know how to exist in a "normal" world.

I am the father of a mentally handicapped from birth manchild.I understand how it is/was for Michael Jackson in this judgmental world. My son has the same struggles. There is no hiding place for those that are childlike in an adult body.The world is a cruel place to exist when you do not quite measure up to the standards of people who have no right to judge anyone in the first place. Yet it seems that is all this society has time for is double standards for race ,gender,sexual preference,occupation ,nationality....whatever is not the so called standard of acceptance. This country is SICK and has been for some time. We have vilified Muhammad Ali and later praised him.We did the same thing to Nelson Mandela.This is the same attitude that made the crowd willing to free Barrabas and crucify Jesus Christ.WE CRUCIFY OUR CELEBRITIES AND HAVE NO REMORSE THAT IS GOING TO LAST MORE THAN 30 DAYS.WE ARE A MAD SOCIETY !

Yes, this is supposed to be a review for a music CD.Michael Jacson is dead now and all of the foul jokes and the pressures of celebrity helped to kill him.The real Michael Jackson,because he looked at life and love through the eyes of a child,knew more about what Jesus and Muhammad teach about coming to God as innocent as a child.Rest in PEACE, MICHAEL. This world loves you....even though it still needs the lessons you tried to teach them.

Amazing

The fact that the detractors will/can only compare Invincible to Michael Jackson's other works speak volumes about both Mr. Jackson and his "reviewers". Intentional or not, they only prove what's already known. He is an artist without equal.

need i say more...MICHAEL JACKSON!!!!! i'm really pleased with this cd and i am only 17 the songs heartbreaker, break of dawn, you rock my world, butterflies and my favorite song by him besides "in the closet" and "bad" HEAVEN CAN WAIT once you here that track it's over seriously the song is very underminded

Beautiful and moving.

This work from Michael is beautiful, moving, and reflects his wonderful genius, humanity and love. It is different from his other work, and the more I listen to it, the more I love it!!

Invincible - Michael Jackson --- Best Kept Secret

I bought this cd used in another store about 2 1/2 years ago. I was amazed at the songs--it is a beautifully written piece of art. I did not know if its existence. I felt like I had discovered a diamond in the ruff. Too bad, this cd did not receive the publicity it deserves. It is well worth the purchase. This is a great piece of work!!!!

very underrated album

i don't know what happened to my review....but anyways alot of people have disliked this album and think it's a flop. after listening to this album, i find it to be enjoyable. i can't really say that this is his weakest album or bad album. MJ barely had any "weak" albums. he's a perfectionist when it comes to music. it may not be with the likes of thriller or bad, it's still a decent album to listen to. Compared to the majority of albums they have out now, i'll rather listen to this album. it's sooo much better. MJ is one of the few people that had kept his voice in perfect condition. His voice never deteriorated like singers such as Whitney or Mariah (thank God). His voice sounded good just as it did 30 years ago. He could still do those beautiful falsettos. He never did lost his appeal.

1. Unbreakable-it's unfortunate that people tried to "break him" until his passing. even though those heartless people tried to break his soul, his music and legacy will continue to be "unbreakable". when he goes high pitched, i smile every time. the rap verse with biggie was nice. 5/5

2. Heartbreaker-i like the video game sounds in the background. it reminds me of nsync's celebrity. 5/5

3. Invincible-yup, you tell them babe. tell those haters and wannabes that they CAN'T do it like you. you put them in their place. you will always be superior!!! 5/5

4. Break Of Dawn- this song is one of the best tracks. this song sounds so gorgeous and seductive with the flute in the background and MJ wanting to "make love until the break of dawn". 5/5

5. Heaven Can Wait-I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!!! everytime i hear him says "you're beautiful, you're wonderful, you're incredible", it puts a smile on my face. it's like he's speaking to you. he should have defintely released this as a single. MJ can sound so good in all genres whether it be rock, pop, rnb, or blues. how ironic that he wrote this song years before his passing. what's even more ironic was that i saw some drawings that describe the lyrics very well. usher and ne-yo got NOTHING on this song!!!. 5/5

6. You Rock My World-he sure did!!! he let everyone know that he was back and he's still here to stay!!! wonderful comeback. chris tucker in the video was really funny. 5/5

7. Butterflies-another favorite of mines. that's classic michael right there. his falsettos put JT in his place and remind him that he's the ORIGINAL. it's gives me goosebumps just to hear Mike's voice. ooooooo. MJ has sexiness written all over him. me like! 5/5

8. Speechless- i love hearing his voice without the music. that alone can make anyone "speechless". 4/5


9. 2000 Watts-i'm laughing at the youtube people who didn't think this was MJ. i love his deep voice in the song. it sounds very futuristic. it's a great song to shake your booty to. 5/5

10. You Are My Life-this song is like a lullaby to his children. it's very beautiful and heartwarming. it's one of those moments where you say "awwwwwww". 4/5

11. Privacy-it's no "leave me alone", but the beginning and the camera flashing sounds were funny. 4/5

12. Don't Walk Away-i know how painful it is to have everything so perfect until it slips aways. poor michael, i can totally relate. 4/5

13. Cry- this song is ok....i want to like this song but it's nothing out of the ordinary. 3/5

Invincible by Michael Jackson

I picked up this CD at Barnes and Noble a few days ago and I love the music on it. I never knew that MJ had put out this CD back in 2001. I never heard any of these songs till after he died. When I heard this album online I had to go and get this cd. I love almost every song. This cd is so different than anything you hear on the radio, I wish they would play the songs on this cd but I don't think most of them were released for radio play as a single. It's really too bad he had to die for people to fully appreciate this man. It's a shame he was treated badly for a long time. Sure he had issues, but his music is great and I don't see anyone who can possibly ever begin to replace his talent. It's going to take some time for many people who really loved him to get over his death. What a loss for the music industry.

I love this CD! I returned the one I purchased from Barnes & Noble after I realized I had already ordered it somewhere else but I love it. B&N was very nice about my return also. Great customer service!

Invincible CD!!!

What a shame that Michael Jackson has passed away. While I only like 5 tracks off of this CD, it does not matter. The music is great. With Michael's unfortunate death, we are all left wondering what might have been. If you don't own this CD you should.

Musical Legend

This CD is a must buy and have. Michael did his thang on this cd! He worked with Teddy Riley and R. Kelly two great artists. The fast cuts are great dance cuts and the ballards really put you in the move for love. Despite what the music industry states about this cd Invicible can stand with the rest of Michael's music. Can't believe when I bought this cd in 2001 and MJ number ones cd in 2003 that these were the last two cd's I would get to purchase. It's an extremely sad day in music history. Much love and you will be greatly missed. As a chlid I grew up listening to Michael"s music and the Jackson 5. His music will live on and transcend time and space. I read alot of other people"s comments and I'm appalled at the stupidity of some of you people who can spout negativity after this man's death. Everyone speaks of the music and performances but Michael has a heart of God and no one ever saw that in this man. Michael gave of himself in extraordinary boundless ways all over the world. Who can say that? He fed the world with his love and we in return did not give that same love back. Instead we ridicule the man for his choices for his pain. All of Michael's music is timeless, to me his most important piece of music is the Man In the Mirror.and everyone needs to take a look in the mirror. My prayer is for God to give the Jackson family the strenght they need to move on from this tragedy and loss, to take away their emptiness of this loss, to protect his children, and the answers they need to find peace. God cover this family with your loving-kindness and let them take refuge and solace in your arms. Michael your are absent from the body but present with the Father now you moonwalk on streets of gold in heaven with Jesus and your stage is the clouds above. Love you always

Rest in Peace MJ

Michael, well said! I find that the majority of the human race fail in wisdom and understanding. They believe the media vs believing and getting to understand the person. MJ was indeed of another world, just like Jesus says; You will be hated by the world because you are not OF the world. I seriously believe MJ's mind was of another world that could not comprehend the pain, hurts and evil that this physical represented for him. He was constantly trying find a bit of paradise that existed in his mind, dreams and visions. How to escape this cruel world, where is the love that he sooooo long searched as a child, how could he blend himself into this adult world when he sooooo longed searched for that childhood he never had...what torment, the only peace he knew was in his own "Disneyland" like estate. The innocence of children, the love of God that doesn't judge but just is blissful, joyful and full of laughter if only on occasions he could forget he was an adult by being around children...somehow we all knew MJ was dying a slow death from brokenheartedness. To minimize the scrutniy and the ridicule, he tried to make adult choices like marriage and having children. Yet, that didn't bring satisfaction, constantly fighting his own demons...finally, his heart had had tooo much, no more could it take it no more, somehow it's gratifying to see that he no longer suffers from his battle of loneliness. He has now been made whole, he suffers no more, I hope he knew his Lord and Saviour, I can see him singing along with the Angels...My prayers for his family and children, may the cat fight finally end and not be a curse for his children for years to come, they deserve to live in peace and cherish the memory of their father, which I strongly believe he loved them greatly and was an awesome father. The leeches who took advantage of his kindness, used him and pushed him to his death....only the Lord can judge you accordingly.

I will hold dearly the memory of personally witnessing Michael's rehearsal at the Pasadena Auditorium for the anniversary taping of American Bandstand with Dick Clark standing by his side...

could and should have been much better

where to start, first off I am surprised at all of those reviews that claimed the album was amazing. It wasn't. If you compare this to dangerous, off the wall, or bad then you will see this. The material chosen was not strong enough and wasn't as well executed. Don't get me wrong, there were definite bright spots on this album, like Whatever Happens and Butterflies (check the remix with eve too it's good). But, most of it sounded similar and was stale compared to what michael has done in the past. He shared more of the song writing in this record and I think that made it suffer. there was nothing comparable to what he has written in the past, excluding "heal the world" which was the only dark spot on the dangerous album. I think a lot of his collaborators messed with the spirit of his music and he let them. He is as much at fault for a mediocre album. When you're dealing with a great in anything them not doing better than ok is unacceptable. If michael jordan played just above the level of a scrub in a game, he would come under the same scrutiny. The HIStory album is better than this and that previously held the title for worst jackson record. All this being said, other bright spots include Break of Dawn (which had a gorgeous arrangement), Don't Walk Away, and invincible minus the rap. Speaking of rap, a lot of that rap was lame, minus biggie's. The whole record came across as a drunken version of dangerous with even more techno elements. Michael you can do better, and I hope you come out with another album so you don't soil your good musical name.

If only

Underrated! This album is underrated! All this crap called music out nowadays Invincible tops. I only wish that Michael Jackson made more music videos for this album. He made only two. For almost all the songs I thought "Man, this would make an awesome music video." This album is more visual than anything. It's missing something, and that's the MUSIC VIDEOS! Most favorite tracks: Heaven Can Wait, Break Of Dawn, Whatever Happens, Speechless, You Are My Life, Threatened, Invincible, and 2000 Watts(which would have made a hot music video)...

Michael is Invincible

I find this album a lot more powerful and a lot better than HIStory. Michael goes back to the roots and makes catchy, pop-R&B hits that he made in the late 80s/early 90s. Songs like Unbreakable, You Rock My World, Whatever Happens, and Threatened shows much Michael has changed through the years. Michael will forever be the King of Pop.

Um... i'll give it a three out of five.

This album... hmm... what to say. Well, first off, it is probably the worst album that Michael Joseph Jackson has ever made. Truly, it's bad on even average pop culture standards. Though I must admit, there were a select few songs that really caught on to me. And a very good quality is that you can actually understand almost half of what he's saying without reading a lyric sheet. Impressive! However, that doesn't make up for the rest of the album. Most of which was really quite laughable. Of course I did like this album the year it came out, 2001. I was also 10 at the time. Really, comparing it to the potential that he really had with this projecct... you come to realise that he didn't have to cross over to the r&b genre THAT intensely. He should stick to the traditional protestant political slander and family-themes, and probably one or two love songs here or there. But honestly... this whole album is all about SEX! Well, anyway, before I get too carried away, let's get to the track listings shall we? Unbreakable: I'll give this a 4/10. It sounds almost exactly like "You Rock My World" and that's a big deductor for me. Not to mention the theme of the song... you know "You can't get me media! I'll always come back!" Uh huh....... well, the media really wasn't as obsessed with him as he thought at the time. Maybe in 1993, but not 2001. Sure he raised SOME speculation with "Living with Michael Jackson" in 2002 (which he should not have done, since people were JUST beginning to think he was normal again) but even then... well, anyway. On to the next song. Heartbreaker: 2/10. This song is too dang repetitive! That chourus stays in my freaking head for hours. And the chourus itself is repeated like... twelve times. Mike... we all know you can do better than that. -_- Invincible: (up-tempo) 3/10. Ah, yet another "You Rock My World" sound alike... and you know how most people think that the song "Invincible" is about him? Nope, he saved that for "Unbreakable". God KNOWS i'm happy he didn't release THAT song as his first single.. that would have been humiliating. Break of Dawn: (mid-tempo) 2/10. I'm simply not used to listening to Michael Jackson... Mr. so-called "Family Orientated" (actual quote) singing about making sweet sweet love to some random woman all night long. I don't even want that image in my head! My word... not to mention the track sounded like somothing Justin Timberlake would release. (ven though he was still in N'SYNC at the time) Heaven Can Wait: (mid-tempo) 3/10. Kind of an akward transition from lust to biblical themes, don't you think? Not to mention the song itself is really just so-so. You Rock My World: (up-tempo) 6/10. One of the few songs on the album that I actually do sorta like. Though i've heard it so many times that i'm really very tired of hearing it. I wish I could rate the video as well... because boy.... I would. But I won't get into that now. Butterflies: (low-tempo) I'll give it a 5/10. It's a lot like "Break Of Dawn", but with a twist! It's talking about WANTING to make love to some random woman. *suspense* But the track and vocals are nice enough, that i'll listen to it on occasion. Though this song also sounds like something Justinn Timberlake would sing. Spechless: (low-tempo) 7/10. Meh... this song could have been longer, but it's actually quite good. Sort of an anthem feel to it. Though the placement of the song was wrong. This should have been a hidden track, or at the very least the finale to the album. Not stuck in the center. 2000 Watts: (up-tempo) 4/10. Though I give props to Michael for showing off his vocal range by using his "deep voice", this song really has no real meaning to it at all. It's basically just talking about random elements of being in the recording studio. Whoopdydoo. Not to mentoion the track is just rediculous. You Are My Life: (mid-tempo) 2/

Great and maybe Perfect!!!!!

I fell in love with MJ with this album. I bought it first day and loved Privacy and Lost Children the most!!! Unbrakable with Biggie is also really cool!!!!! I love MJ!!!

Michael Jackson: What happened???

For some reason MJ decided to write more love songs than what he usually does. Almost all the songs sound the same. But I did like a few songs like Unbreakable, You Rock My World, Threatened and Butterflies which was pretty good. Still, I'm not feeling what MJ has to say in these songs. Plus I wouldn't suggest this album for fans under 13. In one song " Break of Dawn" he has some adult stuff that isn't so appropiate. Mj, I know you can do better, so why not do it!?!

Like this a lot

You have to listen to this a few times and let it sink in. Michael is always changing and trying new things. It's grown on me and I really like it a lot now.
