I can't say enough good things about this book. It is friendly, innovative, and highly readable. I believe this book could be read by anyone, professionals and non-professionals alike. The reader gathers a great deal of information through the exciting and profound case histories of Dr. Barbara Stone's clients as she reveals their struggles and triumphs one by one. It is a book that has to be experienced as each fascinating chapter draws the reader into new levels of empathy. The reader can take from this book his or her own personal gifts of insight and deeper compassionate awareness as the information in the book is adaptable to each individual's belief system or frame of reference. Dr. Stone's healing methods begin with discovering the roots of her client's problems, which often lie within the soul energy. Though not a healing professional myself, beginning with energy work makes sense to me. It brings to mind that chicken and egg debate--do our bodies produce auras or do our auras (or energy fields) produce our bodies? Einstein discovered that energy can never die, it can only be transformed from one form into another. I conclude that our energy bodies are the roots of our beings, and that our physical bodies are the manifestations of our soul energy. By healing the source, Dr. Stone's clients' physical symptoms and mental conditions resolve with effortless ease, hence the title of the book, 'Invisible Roots'. Our every day waking level of conscious awareness does not always include what lies deeper within us. Therefore Dr. Stone pioneers as a 'Soul Detective' to uncover messages of truth that appear through her clients in the form of disease or disturbance. She also helps them understand that what appear to be problems are truly disguised opportunities to gain understanding and spiritual growth. INVISIBLE ROOTS is full of tools and techniques that can be used by professionals, but can also be understood by those wishing to help themselves. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in achieving the ability to work at a deeper level of awareness. It is a truly unique and remarkable book.
