Viewing it in the humanist tradition, this lucid book presents the discipline of sociology to both the general reader and the student.

Peter Berger's description of Sociology as a discipline was simply amazing. The way he approached the discipline brought new aspects into light which I never realized. A professor of mine recommended this book to me and I'm very glad he did. This book will help you to realize truths about society that you may not know. This book in a sense, uncovers the blind fold that our society likes to put over our eyes. Berger is an excellent writer which makes this book an easy and enjoyable read.
