    Love the book.

Excellent Big Nerd Ranch book. Well thought out and concise. This is a very good book to learn how to write applications for Apple's iOS platform. Not for those who do not have a programming background, but a very good resource.

Be very careful. It is important to pay careful attention to which edition you are getting. The website had linked me to a partner site that I purchased the second edition from. Returned the book and bought a third edition book.

    Liked it a lot

Great way of getting introduced to the major concepts in iOS development. Experience in programming is a must in order to learn a lot from this book, with that said I loved it!

Useless if you're using current version of xCode

The first four chapters of the book are acknowledged to be out of date relative to xCode 4.2 on the authors' web forums. Lots of "go back to 4.1" and other work-arounds to get you up and running, but the update for the book to 4.2 will not be available until March. OK if you're experienced, but if you're experienced you don't need the book now, do you?
