My son he's taken Dr. Lewis' class at the University of Colorado. I have used this book to teach myself this iPad and iPhone just like I teach myself English when I come from Russia. I only learn more from Dr. Lewis book and now I have three apps on iTunes Apple store. When it too hard I look at his video where I see him do it and I say OK now I see. But I never program before and now I am expert. Very good book to teach beginner like me to be professional iPad programmer.

As a History Major many years ago and now the owner of 4 restaurants I have never programmed a single thing in my life. I have had many ideas for apps. I bought all the dummy books, all the beginner books and got NOWHERE! Dr. Lewis' book was my last hope. From the first page I could tell he was talking to ME. I could tell he totally connected to how stupid I was and told me it was OK. Long story short. I have written my first app for my staff to schedule their next week's shift. It going to the Apple store and everybody thinks I am a programming guru! Thank you Dr. Lewis.

Rory Lewis does a fine job going over the ins and outs of v4.3 of XCode. I had purchased the electronic version which was not formatted correctly in a lot of code examples, but that just made me think more and figure out parts of the coding myself. I would have like to see more explanation on WHY certain code examples work, such as the usage of the [ ] and ( ), but overall the is a big "must have".
