I'm No Technowiz, But This Book Helped Me A Lot!

My husband bought me a new iPhone and showed me the basics (like how to turn it on and how to make a simple phone call). I then went on a trip to visit my parents and didn't have a lot to do, so I went to my local Barnes and Noble and found this book on how to operate my new phone. I went through each chapter and learned so much. I must admit that I have always relied on my husband to give me the bare bones tutorial on how to operate any technical item. They just aren't my "thing." But not having him there at my parent's house made me learn about the phone on my own. There's a lesson in that. Now I'm going to go back and buy the "Dummies" books on how to operate other appliances in my household. Just takes a little time, but it cements in the knowledge of how to get the most out of your technical items.

    Now I understand my iPhone

This has been a great help. Being one of the "older generation" the new gadgets are a bit confusing. With this book I am able to expand my knowledge of what the phone can do and I can make it do it. I was able to download three books and one song. I'm a grandma on a roll!

Great Reference Guide for People Who are New to the iPhone

I was the last one in my family to get an iPhone since I hate learning a new phone; it's such a time consuming trial-and-error process! The Dummies book was VERY USEFUL in easing my transition from a Moto Q (like a Blackberry) to the iPhone. Although there were parts of the book that were VERY elementary, I was able to easily locate the useful information and tips I needed to quickly get me up to speed and comfortable using the iPhone. I've even shared the tips with my husband, parents, and siblings, all of whom have had iPhones for a while and were unaware of all it could do. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to people who need to become comfortable with the iPhone and all it can do!

    HANDY AND HELPFUL

I found it a great help in finding answers quickly. Recommended that you read it through, cover to cover, and then go back to specific features you need help with. Keep it handy and use it periodically when the need arises to brush up on something. Love that iPHone!

Great reference Book for those who are technically challenged or NOT

iPhone For Dummies is very useful when "stumped" on what to do with error messages and/or no funciton at all. The instructions are clear and to the point and will definitely ease the stress when things "go wrong" and you havent's a clue about what to do.
