Overview

Are you looking for a book that focuses on just the most important and most useful stuff about your iPod (including the iPod touch, nano, classic, shuffle, and the iTunes Store)? Well, this is it!

There are basically two kinds of iPod books: (1) The “tell-me-all-about-it” kind, which include in-depth discussions on compression algorithms and tutorials on how to export your playlist in Unicode format. (2) Then there’s this book—a “show-me-how-to-do-it” book. Scott shows you step by step how to do the things people really want to learn about their iPods, and he uses the same casual, conversational style that has made him the world’s #1 best-selling technology author. This book focuses on just the most important, most requested, most useful things so you can start having fun with your iPod today. Right now!

Plus, there’s only one topic per page, so if you want to know how to do something, you turn to that page and it shows you how to do just that one thing. It's a simple approach, and people really love learning this way!

This book explained how to use my ipod and what it was capable of. The only problem is the fact that this is an all purpose manuel which means that alot of information is assumed that the user knows. I liked the ipod very much the design the storage etc... The only thing that did not occur to me that it was an apple product. My very first apple anything. I was lucky enough to figure out how to turn it on! The fact that the interface to download music and videos was a nightmare since you have to buy, buy, buy. I have my own music that I had that finally learned how to downloaded. Because of the fact that I have to buy their music I have not bought any music from them in two years. This book helped with the interface to download. It still does not give enough information just the basics.

I found the iPod Book to be very helpful in understanding and using the features of the iPod. Many features that I would of otherwise been unaware of, are explained in detail. The book continues to be very helpful for me. I keep it handy when operating my device, and believe it would be helpful for all owners of an iPod.
