Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Marilyn Courtot
It seems strange to read about two powerful forces vying for the right to protect the world. In one case it is Colonel James Rhodes and his organization called S.H.I.E.L.D and the other is billionaire Tony Stark who is able to transform himself into Iron Man. The dreaded HYDRA, a walking tank, was attacking the UN Building and Tony as Iron Man was off to stop it. Even though he knocked HYSRA down, suddenly there were 14 more to deal with. Iron Man succeeded with them but is attacked by three large robots and they have his secret weapon. But of course all was not lost as S.H.I.E.L.D. reinforcements came to help Iron Man. New characters are introduced and the story is a bit complicated. The bad guys are put into the Super-Villain prison, but not for long. Some escape but are recaptured. The picture book comes with trading cards making this more of a personal purchase than a school or library book. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
