These stories are a waste of good paper.

    Very Enjoyable

Although not a romance fan, I do enjoy Asaro's science fiction, so bought the book. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the various authors' writing skills. I found Deb Stover's humor in Skin Deep fun and refreshing. Asaro's story had more plot than I ever expected from a short story -- the angst was deep and palatable. Mary Jo Putney's story, although predictable, was also very enjoyable. My least favorite story was The Trouble With Heroes -- the characters did not have the needed depth needed to make them interesting, especially the main protagonist. Even so, the ending was satisfying. I would definitely recommend purchase of this book.

    Very Disappointing!

What a disappointment. I was looking for something that resembled romance in these stories, but failed to find it. To me they were just ramblings about futuristic societies and unpronouncable names. Don't waste time or money

A good collection; especially Winterfair Gifts

This collection has 6 stories..I found the first 3 great, personal preference. The final 3 are well written. Winterfair Gifts is a must have for those who love the Lord Vorkosigan books. The Alchemical Marriage reminded me of Mercedes Lackey' 'The Elemental Masters' a great read. Stained Glass Heart is the most like a 'romance'. I enjoyed the first 3 greatly and the last 3 were interesting.
