As you may have seen elsewhere, I think the Creepover series is excellent, as a whole, and I've been collecting them for my 10 year older daughter. However, this is the absolute weakest book in the entire series. I literally felt the book may not have been written by P.J. Night, the anonymous author with the Hitchcockian style, but that, instead, the book was given to someone else to write to meet a deadline. Almost nothing actually happens in this book, and the writing is so lazy it's hard to read. Get ready to see the following lines over and over: "Everyone chuckled." "And they all laughed." "Then they all cracked up." " Everyone laughed." "They stared at each other and they all cracked up." The book is 40% generic filler. Wasted potential.
