CHAPTER 1
Dennis Jr. was walking along with his mother and his sister, daydreaming as usual. This time he was Mr. Good Guy, a superhero protecting the world from harm.
They were heading to school for his first field trip. But first, they had to drop off his little sister.
When they walked into child care to drop off Lindsey Lou, he saw a man standing alone in the corner.
Dennis Jr. pulled his mother's arm and asked, "Is that a good guy or a bad guy?"
His mother smiled and said, "I don't know, he is a stranger."
He heard the word stranger and decided he must be a bad guy.
Dennis Jr. forgot all about the man by the time his class arrived at the alligator park. He had so many new things to look at and he did his best to look at all of them.
Soon, he noticed a little boy and an older man throwing food into the alligator pit.
He ran up to them and asked if he could throw some food too. The man said, "Sure." They all walked along the boardwalk together, talking and laughing. They were having so much fun.
