Feal is executive director of the Modern Language Association and a professor of romance language and literature at the University of Buffalo. She lives in the Buffalo area of New York. Yvette E. Miller is a publisher and the editor of collections that include Latin American Women Writers: Yesterday and Today and Scents of Wood and Silence.
