Isla's Redemption takes the reader on a fantastic journey with a young lady searching for the meaning of her dreams. Romance finds its way into this quest. With this comes struggle. Readers will find themselves gripping the edges of the book as this tale gains in its level of intensity. I found it to be a great story, pulling me in as each event unfolded. Truly, the Gods need mortals as much as the mortals need the Gods.

I loved this book! And I'll be the first to let you know, I was skeptical. Being published with PublishAmerica, I right away was prepared to find this book a bad read. But wow was I wrong! Arissa is such a fun and strong character. I identifed to her right away. Her pain and frustration was something I understood and felt with her. The romance between her and Oliver was so well written! The entire book was well written! Yes, there were many spelling and grammer errors, but so what? It's Terra Ann Pitre's first book to be published. That has to be expected. I am assuming she had no one to edit her book for her. While I can understand people being put off by grammar and spelling errors, I must ask you to not let that be a factor with this book. Think of it like this, there are some books out there that are perfect with spelling and grammar, and they are some of the worst books out there. If people can get off their high horses and look past the spelling and grammar errors, which I personally found more then easy to do, you'll find yourself in awe of this incredible book. I loved everything about it. The dynamic between the friends was riveting. You'll find yourself sighing over the romance, crying at the touching moments, and even scared at some parts. If you don't like spiders, be prepared to be shaking in fear at the cave scene part. I found myself picturing it all like a movie as I read it. I want to know how Terra Ann Pitre was able to come up with this incredible story. It was brilliant! I wouldn't be suprised if this book became a best seller. I loved it.

Let's get the negitive feedback out of the way right away. Errors. And lots of them. Spelling and grammar. With this being Terra Pitre's first published manuscript, that is acceptable. In her future works, however, she'd better be more on top of things. With this being her first book people, such as myself, will easily look past the errors and love her book for what it is, a great book. But if she continues to let her errors slide in her future books, she won't find her writing career going very far. For now, I'm not going to bash her for her errors. If there are the same errors in her next book, I will bash her for them.

With the error business aside, I have to say this story blew me away. I did not expect it to. Like some other reviewers have mentioned, I was a bit speculative when I found out what publishing company she went through. However, from the first page of Isla's Redemption, to the very last, I was completely sucked into this book. I felt as if I knew all of her characters. Each had their own distinct personality. I even found myself sympathizing with Donovan, the bad guy. Terra Pitre has a talent that few writers have. She has a way of weaving her words together and hooking you to them and to her story.

I found this book to be a great read and I would suggest it to anyone. Definately give it a read.

I hate Terra Ann Pitre. Only for making me fall in love with another fictional man. *sigh* I just can't seem to get away from the fact that men in books ARE just better. First I was Ginny, waiting for my Harry. Then I was Bella, waiting for my Edward. Now, I'm also Arissa, waiting for my Oliver.

As I was reading this I could see it all like a movie. It would make an amazing movie. I enjoyed every page of this story. Loved it!

Terra Pitre has woven a wonderful story through a skillful blending of fantasy, action, and adventure. You will find yourself cheering for Arissa and Oliver while laughing at the antics of Tessa and Rupert. Isla's Redemption is a winner!

Seriously, I don't. All I care is if the story is good. Yes, this book had many errors, but the story was f-ing unbeleivable. The war scene at the end was epic. As I was reading it I was like "Whoah...this is kick ass". It had everything a good book should have. The only think lacking was the 'errors'. But I could care less about those. I don't pick up a book and read it because its going to be error free. I pick up a book and read it because it's a damn good book, which is exactly what Isla's Redemption is. I highly recommend this book and look forward to seeing what next the brilliant Terra Ann Pitre has to send our way.

¿Isla¿s Redemption¿ is a moving story. A real page turner. It is a story that tells the true meanings of love and friendship. You¿ll be holding your breath as you get toArissa and her friends on a quest ssed through time following three generations of love. Terra Pitre did a wonderful job in telling this story.

I just finished this book and came online to review it and I saw mostly great reviews for this book...except for one. I was suprised at that review, really suprised. It claimed that Arissa always talked in all caps. Well, wow, so what? I loved that about her. I loved that she spoke her mind. Yeah, sometimes she went too far...but that made her human. That made me, as the reader, identify with her more. I got to see that she wasn't perfect. And that is what draws a reader in. That's what makes a reader care about a character. I very much enjoyed when Arissa would go into her little rants. I found myself laughing because it was comedically perfect. And as for the characters having the personalities of a 'pop-up book'...well I laughed at the absurtity of that. All of Ms. Pitre's characters were appealing and exciting. Readers will easily fall in love with all of these characters. There is someone in this book for everyone to identify with. Now maybe I'm not some major reviewer, and maybe I dont know what I'm talking about. But I'm an avid reader and a book has to be amazing to pull me in. And that's exactly what Isla's Redemption is. Amazing. Magical. Magnificent. I loved it. I'm a fan of Terra Ann Pitre.

Not the best book I've ever read. But far from being just good. It will entrap the hearts of teenage girls, and young women. There is just enough action to keep the avid male readers intrigued as well. It was overall a fantastic story. Still, there were those mistakes that were easily spotted. I wouldn't knock down this story because of them though. Give the book a chance. Most first novels have these very same mistakes in them and yet they are still great stories. Without a doubt, Isla's Redemption is a must read.

Terra Ann Pitre's first novel is an excellent read, but not free from pitfalls that first time novelist's tend to ensnare themselves in. While the grammar and punctuation leave much to be desired, it is the heart of the story which really matters. Ms. Pitre is able to tell a powerful story through characters which jump to life off of the page and creating a sense of wonder in the reader. Weaving in and out of beautiful locations and epic set pieces, you will be taken on a journey which will leave you breathless in the end. An excellent start to what is sure to be a long career.

Arissa and Oliver! Tessa and Rupert! I won't go into the other characters because I don't want to ruin the story for you guys. But whoah did I ever love all the romance! As someone mentioned before, I feel like I'm Arissa now, looking for my Oliver! Or even Tessa, looking for my Rupert! While a fantastic fantasy, Isla's Redemption is also dripping with thrilling romance. You'll find yourself drowning in all of the beautiful couples. I was hanging on to every word, anxious to see what was on just the next page. Isla's Redemption isn't just a good read, it's a great read! I can't wait to read it again!

Isla's Redemption was so good that I want more! I would love to dive more into the life of Donovan. Yes, I love the bad guys. I love Snape from Harry Potter, and I now love Donovan from Isla's Redemption. Oh, and can I just say that Adam is my favorite? He was so sweet and funny. I think all of us girls can agree that we need to have an Adam guy friend. And the fight scene! Well that was just intense! I really want to see it made into a movie! I want more! Terra Ann Pitre has me hooked! I checked out her official website and saw that she is working on a new novel. I read an excerpt she posted from it and can I just say that it sounds absolutely amazing?! Looking forward to reading that! I personally beleive that Terra Ann Pitre has a long career ahead of her and I feel very privelaged that one day I will be able to say I was a fan of hers from the very beginning.

The fight scene towards the end was insane. With the right producer this would make one bad ass movie. I even enjoyed the romance, and I'm not usually one who reads romance books. But it was great. I gave it to my girlfriend to read and she's already halfway through it. She's loving it. This is a book that everyone can enjoy. The girls will swoon over the romance, and the guys will very much enjoy the action. There were spelling and grammar errors, which is why I'm giving this book a four star rating, but I still thought the book was pretty bad ass. Looking forward to seeing what Terra Pitre has up her sleeve next.

I'm thrilled that everyone on here loves Isla's Redemption as much as I do! I just finished it and it was great! The romance was great. The action was great. The touching moments were great. What I loved the most, though, was the suspense! Ms. Pitre captures suspese perfectly. She doesn't set out to spoon feed the reader, which too many authors do. She doesn't insult the intelligence of readers by explaining everything that's going on. She leaves the air of mystery around every corner. There were so many twists and turns that I found myself continously guessing. She suprised me, more then once. There were a few moments when I had to sit back and literally say out loud, "No way!". There were errors, as almost everyone here has mentioned, but I didn't find them distracting at all. It was refreshing to read a book that had it all for once! Kudos to Ms. Terra Ann Pitre. Isla's Redemption is brilliant!

Everything is well thought out and connected, yet some things are still left to our imaginations. Isla's Redemption starts off intense and its intensity only continues to grow rapidly. I was literally gripping the edges of this book. I wanted to know what happened next! Then I'd find out..and wonder what happened next! Though the path to Arissa's truth is one filled with pain and suffering, the end will leave you smiling and sighing. I am very impressed.

It seems everyone here, so far, has enjoyed so many different aspects of Isla's Redemption. What I enjoyed the most was the tragedy. Yes, the romance was sizzling. The war scene at the end was intense. But the tragedy is what got me. I actually cried. She takes you places you would not expect her to take you. Isla's Redemption was also touching. What I found the most touching was all of the friends Arissa had to back her up. You truly felt she bad a bond with them all. They all had their own lovable personality. They also all had their flaws, which made them relatable. As said in my headline, Terra Ann Pitre has scored, and scored big for her first novel. This is not a book readers will soon forget.

Ohhhh boy, this is just what I needed, another book to obsess over! From beginning to end I was lost in this world. I loved everything about this book! It, without a doubt, MUST be made into a movie!

I wanted to add that my personal favorite couple was Donovan and Marie...even though they were never together. I like that Terra Ann Pitre left it open for us to imagine. We never got to see what kind of a person Marie was, so that gives readers, (like myself) lots of fuel to imagine what could have been. I personally like to imagine that Marie had a soft spot for Donovan and understood him..until he went too far. Just my opinion though. I also loved Oliver and Arissa. The way he loved her through the whole thing..he never left her side. Not once. He was so dedicated to her and her happiness. I'm not going to even try and hide the truth, I'm in love with him. He's been added to my ever growing list of fictional men I have fallen in love with.

Ms. Pitre has the very rare ability to paint a picture with her words. You'll see everything you're reading as if you're right there in it, experiencing it. You'll feel as if you know the characters, as if you are a part of their lives. You'll pull for Arissa through all of her struggles. I won't ruin the end for you, but you're heart will break right along with Arissa's. Isla's Redemption has nearly everything. There's romance, mystery, action, comedy, fantasy, and tragedy. You'll leave this book glad you've read it and with a happy heart.

Though peppered with spelling and grammar errors, Isla's Redemption redeems itself with engaging characters, captivating romance, and edge of the seat action. For her first novel, Ms. Pitre has done very well for herself. I predict she will soon gain a large fanbase. As I see by previous reviews, she's already gotten a good start on that. I'm very glad she's continuing writing and I look forward to reading her next work and watching her grow as a writer. Isla's Redemption starts off what is sure to be a long and promising writing career for Terra Ann Pitre. Not bad, not bad at all for her first novel.

I was lucky enough to meet Terra Ann Pitre. Online, that is. She's a fellow Harry Potter fanatic and we got to talking about her book. I told her a few months ago that when Isla's Redemption became available, I'd order it and read it. And I did. I was uncertain as to whether I would like it or not, but I thought that even if I hated it it would be cool to say I knew a published author.

I received the book in the mail just a few days ago and I read it straight through. I fell in love with it. I've already lent it out to a friend and have recommended it to a number of my family and friends. They've all learned to trust me, because I also recomended Harry Potter and Twilight to them. They knew it'd be inevitable before the next big book came out. As if my word isn't enough, I talked nonstop about the story to them. I've probably revealed every bit of the story to each and every one of them. After badgering them the past few days, I've convinced them all to order their own copies of the book. Whether to read it or to shut me up, it does not matter. They will be glad they trusted me when they read this book!

Isla's Redemption is amazing. It just is. There are so many aspects of it that I just adore. Mainly I love that Terra Ann Pitre is able to wrap you around her finger. She wriggles you in like a fish. Then, just when you are about to bite, she yanks the line away from you and throws another twist your way that keeps you swimming after her.

The romance was so sweet. I loved how Rupert and Tessa bickered. I loved how Oliver was so dedicated to Arissa. All of the other couples also touched me as well. I think it's best if I save some time though, and just conclude with the fact that I LOVED Isla's Redemption. And so will all of you. If you are a fan of fantasy, romance, or heck, just a good book, this is definately a book for you. Get yourself a copy now and read it! You will not regret it!

There is so much going on in Isla's Redemption that you often have to stop to catch your breath. It's an absolute thrill ride. I remember stopping at the end of the first chapter to look over at my husband and to say, "This is intense!". Even with being thrown many tragic loops, you'll find this story an uplifting tale. Very good book. Terra Ann Pitre has, without a doubt, written a winner.

What an adventure! Isla's Redemption was a superb read! It kept me on my toes! I was sitting on my hands one minute, dieing to find out the truth as much as Arissa was. Then, the next minute, I was laughing or sighing at the romance. Towards the end I actually threw my book across my bed because I was so shocked. I didn't see it coming, Terra Ann Pitre really throws a curve ball your way. At the very end, when I closed the book, I called up my best friend so I could talk her ear off about what an amazing book this was. I was really into this story. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Isla's Redemption is brilliant!

Just finished Isla's Redemption! I don't see how anyone wouldn't enjoy this book! Yes, there were spelling and grammar errors, but in all honesty what book doesnt have errors? Twilight is sprinkled with them, and I'm a major fanatic of Twilight. I'm not comparing Isla's Redemption to Twilight, but it is very good. I not only see Ms. Pitre becoming very successful off of her first novel, but I also see Isla's Redemption being made into a hit movie. Even if people think her writing is crap, they'll still enjoy the story and want to see it on the big screen. I personally loved her writing style. She has room for improvements, but what first time author doesn't? I loved Isla's Redemption! It's an amazing start to an extremely promising writing career for Ms. Terra Ann Pitre!
