    Unique, Thrilling, and Intense

Unique, thrilling, and intense, Isle Of Night, takes the term "bad-ass beauties" to a whole new level.

Annelise just wants to get away. From her crappy town, her abusive family, and her high school. And then tall, dark, and handsome with memorizing green eyes shows up and offers it to her. Ronan promises her a whole new life if she's strong enough. She's reluctant, but accepts. What she finds is nothing like what she expected. Annelise finds herself amongst hard core beauties and want-to-be vampires... not to mention real ones too. But, it comes at a price. Annelise must fight to become one of the few select "Watchers". And little does she know, she will be fighting for her life.

Isle of Night is like a Hunger Games filled with all girls, and no "boyfriend" to push Annelise through. The whole story is thrilling. There's a chill, a death, and some blood around every corner. The fighting is intense and Annelise is a beauty with brains, but also incredibly strong. It shows you that having brains is just as good as having looks. You'd especially need witty comments if you had to room with Annelise's roommate Lilac. She's a tightly wound fireball (literally), with a cold, crazy heart. But, on the other side Annelise has two friends whom I loved. And they are Emma and Yasuo. They are both easy-going, yet strong and smart.

Next, this book doesn't really have any "romance" per say. There is some definite chemistry and sexual tension, but no physical romance. But, that being said I didn't hesitate with the book at all because it doesn't need it. The story line itself is so strong that it does perfectly fine without it. I have to admit I loved Ronan though and I just wish something a little more happened with him and Annelise. Though, I understand why it didn't.

Isle of Night was a suspenseful read that I enjoyed, and I am eagerly awaiting book two, Vampire's Kiss.

Am i the only one that notices that it is rare to see a book that's rated below 4 stars??

Closed it after she descibed for the gazzilionthb time how hot the older man was, the one that hangs out by admissions scoping young girls likebsome perv. This girl is suppose to be a genius yet she jumps in some stranger's jet. He won' t tell where she is going or even let her take her i pod.

This is Sh***y story right now in the begining!!

This is kinda crap if you dont like stuck up and whiney heroines in the books you read. This chick drew is a whiney loud mouth impulsive b**** and never thinks before talking and also doesnt listen to what shes being told to do when she knows what will happen to her if she doesnt listen, she will DIE AND SHE DOESNT EVEN SEE IT LIKE THAT!! Shes taking chance on things that dont matter.. its a kill or be killed world in this book and shes thinks she better than every one
? right now and im only 94 pages into a 247 page book.. if it dont change soon it will forever suck and be a waste of money.. I just hope i the book gets better by a couple pages so ii dont feel like i lost money on this.. but i doubt my mind will be changed.. ps: the book would be good if the main character would have a different attitude!!! Oh and also if it does change ill write another review if my first opioion was wrong..

Very different from your typical run-of-the-mill vampire novel.

Very different from your typical run-of-the-mill vampire novel. The premise is different, which creates intrigue and since very little of the over all plot was revealed, what the "Watchers" really do, what the vamps really need them for, what the vamps are really all about, what the bigger picture is all about, this novel does really capture your interest. You can't but help root for Annelise, she's strong, determined and adaptable. Ronan becomes less mysterious as Master Alcantara becomes more so. What does he really want from Annelise? But in the end its a fight for survival. I will definitely be reading the next books in this series!

For my birthday, I bought this book and I am glad that I finally got around to reading it. This book is much different than what I expected.

What I like most about this book is the great plot line. I like that it took some unexpected turns that I never saw coming. I curious as to what purpose staying on the island serves.

The characters of the book were not normal characters. They all come from harsh back rounds, with tough skin. Annelise back round is rough. While I am glad that she got away from that, it good to see that some good came from it. She strong, feisty and doesn't put up with anybody.

Overall this is quite a unique book. It really puts a whole new spin on vampires. I really liked how the vampires in this book aren't modern but old school. They truly act they way vampires should act.

Isle of Night is start of a series that has intrigued me. With a moving plot line, the reader is set on a path the vampires told us not to stray from. Isle of Night is a great read!

    EXCITING!

LOVED IT! I am bummed that I am going to have to wait for the next book in this series to come out! I was leery at first but as soon as she reached the island I really got into the studies, the rules, the what ifs, and especially the "who" will she hook up with!

A Must have for any page turner book lover!

This book wowed me! It has everything that i love in a good story. It has romance, thrills and sitting on the edge of your seat drama. This may very well be the next big thing! The story line is solid and the dark twists and turns kept me glued to this book! I couldn't wait to turn the page to see what was going to happen next! This is a must read for anyone who loves page turner stories.
The main character Annelise is a strong willed girl who can take a punch who learns to give one in return. Her past has taught her life lessons that come in handy in her new life. She is a strong character that i became attached to very fast and when someone messed with her i even found myself getting mad!
I love the dialogue between the characters and the witty remarks even made me giggle! The conversations had me glued!
It is a story that is a must read! This book will be out Sept 6th so mark your calenders and get it fast! You can preorder it HERE! I hope I'm on the ARC list for part 2!!!!!!!!!

The first Watcher urban fantasy is a super opening act

Annelise leaves home glad to get away from her drunken abusive father and her scornful stepmother who disses her high intelligence. She enrolls in the University of Florida at Gainesville but learns she needs a diploma to gain admission since she graduated high school six months early. With her car is broken and with no place to go, Annelise accepts a ride with Ronan, who observed her when she enters the bursar's office. He asks her if she would like to take a chance on a new life.

Every time she thinks she to flee, he touches her and she feels okay like she is under Ronan's spell. Annelise accepts a plane ride to Isle of Night where vampires and Watchers train for precarious missions. She becomes adept at fighting techniques and studies diligently in class so she can become a Watcher and escape the island. Lilac wants off too and is determined to win the female tournament that will decide who the five left standing watcher are; the losers end up dead.

The first Watcher urban fantasy is a super opening act as readers tour Wolff's wild world accompanying Annelise while she adapts to her training. The story line focuses on the training as the girls prepare to compete to the death for five slots. Although the tale starts slow as the place and players are established, the death-sizing countdown to who is left standing at the end of the tournament brings a strong suspense to an engaging urban fantasy.
