About the Author

Naeem Sadiq holds a BSc in aerospace and a master’s in manufacturing engineering. He is a certified lead auditor and lead trainer for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. He is also an ASQ-certified manager and quality system auditor. Naeem’s work experience in engineering and management includes working as an independent consultant, auditor and trainer for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. He has presented a number of papers in national conferences on management system standards, and provided consultancy, training and auditing support to more than 100 organisations. As a freelance writer, he is a regular contributor to a national newspaper on environmental and social issues. He is also the author of OHSAS 18001 Step by Step – A Practical Guide.

Asif Hayat Khan holds a BSc in industrial engineering. He is a trained lead auditor and trainer for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. He is also an ASQ-certified quality manager, HACCP auditor and a DuPont certified trainer on behavioural safety. As a consultant, auditor, trainer and manager, he has experience of establishing and implementing the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards in diverse industrial sectors.


Naeem Sadiq holds a BSc in Aerospace and a Master’s in Manufacturing Engineering. He is a certified lead auditor, an ASQ-certified manager and a quality systems auditor. Asif Hayat Khan is a trained lead auditor and a trainer for ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001. In addition, he is a hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) auditor and has DuPont certification as a trainer in behavioural safety. In his various roles as consultant, auditor, trainer and manager, he has long experience of establishing and implementing the ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards across various sectors of industry. Mr Khan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering.
