Michael Dolan authors this work from both personal experience and professional, journalistic expertise. He has covered the Middle East for radio, television and the print media of the world for over two decades. His efforts are especially commended as he strives to balance the reporting with friends on both sides of the conflict. Mr. Dolan intertwines his own personal narrative, which begins to thread into the larger tapestry in the early '80's, with historical notes from both the Jews and the Arabs as the story unfolds. Familiarizing the reader with salient points of developement of each people and their respective religions, the author even-handedly chronicles insights into both groups. Perhaps the most exciting element arises from Mr. Dolan's own experiences in the land as he not only reports on historical events, but often becomes embroiled in them. A must read to gain the flavor and sense of being on the scene. Appreciation for the intensity of prophecy cannot be denied as one takes the measure of the land upon which Ha Shem has placed His Name. {Psalm 74:7} TL Farley, author, When Now Becomes Too Late, a B&N listing.

This is an excellent account of the history of the Jewish state and it's conflicts with the Arab world, including the Palestinian issue. The book has a Biblical foundation and provides an objective analysis of the present situation. This book is well written and easy to understand. It provides an insight from both sides of the conflict and much of the account is based on the personal experience of one who has experienced much of the conflict first hand & who lives in Jerusalem. Someone who has also reported on the ongoing conflict for a major media network. I share the author's interest and love for the Holy Land and a large percentage of his opinions. I have listened to David Dolan speak on the subject and he possesses a wealth of information, knowledge and experience. Highly recommended.
