This is my favorite. It is a real love story; Sarah's Husband is simply Irresistable, loving, caring and forgiving. The way Kay wrote this book was different, engaging and kept me guessing Sarah's Husband's name. When I was sure without a shadow of a doubt the book became more.engaging for me. Deeper it brought me closer to Sarah's Husband wanting more of HIM and less of me. The history was food at my table. I do not reread a book because I know what will happen and it is a spoiler, but this book I would reread because I enjoyed it that much. I purchased this book many times (3) and was not able to read it and it was always missing. When I finally got this book hardcover red with a gold chalis on the front, it drew me to read it and then I could not put it down. It excited me to tell others about it, I rave about this book many years after reading and especially about Sarah's Husband.

Brava, Kay Arthur! I just finished reading Israel, My Beloved. What a beautifully put together story! I travelled through time and walked with the Jewish people through the many tragic events in the history of God's wife. I can't say even express how much I enjoyed this book! I cried with Israel through the hardships and trials. Kay Arthur did a magnificent job writing this book!

Very uplifting story about God's unfailing love and care for His people. Despite their disobedience, He will always welcome them back when they repent and ask for His forgiveness.

Could not put it down! Kay Arthur wrote the history of Israel in a very unique way! Shows that Israel is truly God's chosen people because with all she has suffered over the years, she still exists!! Only God's constant watch could have kept her from being wiped off the face of the earth! Thanks, Kay for a beautifully written book!

I purchased this book randomly at a grocery store maybe 4 years ago. I loved the cover art and something about the name drew it to me. It sat on my bookshelf for all that time. The past year and a half I have drawn closer to Christ and I found this book calling to me. So after 4 years of owning it, I finally picked it up. Amazing, to understand our Lord as our bridegroom. It also cast light on the history of our Jewish brothers and sisters. It was so amazing to see the Old Testament, the history of the Jews brought to such a vivid picture. Praise God for this book and thank you Lord for loving all of us!

Kay Arthur weaves the life of Sarah along the historical track of the Jewish people from before the Babylonian captivity thru the end of all ages and does a masterful job. I hated to put it down and couldn't wait to pick it up at the next opportunity!

I finally understand why God had Daniel & Ezekiel in the Old Testament and Revelations in the New Testament. I saw a lot of duplication. But once I read Israel, My Beloved it all made sense! This is more than a story of God's love from a jewish perspective. It really gives you a brief history of the jewish people and all that they had to endure. God wanted all of his children to be prepared and informed. He knew the jewish people would only use the Old Testament and christians would use both, so that is why he wrote the bible like he did. This was a wonderful enlightening book that I will never forget and treasure always!!! God loves all of us so much!! Praise God for such a wonderful book!

This is a book full of facts that catches your attentionm immediately. While reading through, it is impossible to put it down...it keeps you going and going... I think it is worth reading. When you finish it, you will get such a satisfaction...just for the fact that this book portrais, through a wonderful love story, the way Jesus chose and loved the Israelites.
