    Funny and Charming

Issy has wanted Tyler since she was a teen. Tyler is her older brothers friend and has never looked at her with anything resembling interest. After returning from playing rugby in Japan Tyler takes over coaching Issy's team for the final month of the season. Issy grows two left feet and stutters when Tyler's around. That doesn't bode well for her making an impression on the selectors for the Black Ferns.

Issy and Tyler are magical together. The love scenes are a wonderful blend of steamy and humor. When you can successfully combine those two elements it's always very appealing to me. In addition to the romance there's rugby. For those like me who are clueless about rugby, Ms Munro does an excellent job making it exciting. ISSY'S INFATUATION is a delight.

    Short but steamy read....

This was a quick but fun read with likable characters with a strong connection. Strong-willed Issy has loved handsome and funny Tyler for years, but he always saw her in a sisterly way. Now he's back to coach her rugby team and doesn't want to waste anymore time. For the one month he coaches, she agrees to be his. And lucky for her, he no longer sees her as a sister. As she prepares for a tryout with a professional rugby team, he spends time teaching her other things.

The relationship between them, though appearing sudden, is believable and combustible. They're lovers and friends. And the romantic scenes between them are evenly paced throughout the story so as not to distract from the storyline.

The author is knowledgable about rugby and the descriptions of game play add to the storyline and are quite exciting. The conflict between our couple is realistic, but thankfully not drawn out too long. There are two secondary characters that add some humor to the story and will hopefully be seen again since I think they make a wonder couple. And hopefully that's the case, since it means we'll see more of Issy and Tyler and where their relationship goes from here.

3 out of 5 for this reader folks!

A quick read (less than 100 pages), Issy's Infatuation by Shelley Munro is typical to what I expect from an Ellora's Cave Quickie.

Issy is a competitive rugby player. She has just learned that her teenage crush Tyler has just returned to town, to take over coaching duties of her team. Issy is somewhat conflicted as she wants to make a good impression to the scouts watching her, but seems to trip and get all silly nervous in front of her new coach. Tyler then propositions her to one month of hot sex, no strings. Issy immediately jumps all over that! LOL Before they know it both are dealing with a whole heck of a lot more than hot sex when they realize they are truely falling for each other. Enter Issy's brother who is Tyler's best friend and the stakes just got higher!

A steamy read, with likable characters, Issy's Infatuation is designed to get your blood pumping. Always hard to judge character/story development on these kinds of short reads as you are thrown right into the action, I have to say Shelley Munroe did a good job with this. I didn't feel like there was only sex in this short story but an actual plot to follow!

    HAPPY READING! :)

Issy's Infatuation by Shelly Munro: Isabelle "Issy" De

Issy's Infatuation by Shelly Munro: Isabelle "Issy" Deans is a talented rugby player with hopes of moving up to the professional level at the end of the current season. She practices hard and plays hard to ensure that she succeeds. Being distracted in anyway is not an option, so when her former crush from high school, rugby player turned coach Tyler Jameson steps in to coach her team for the final month of the season, she knows she is in trouble.

Wow, talk about a surprise! Tyler never imagined that gawky, teenage Issy would grow up into such a beautiful, talented woman. Since Tyler was a best friend of her brother, he always thought of Issy in a sisterly way. Now her very presence causes lustful thoughts and so he doesn't hesitate to ask her out. After a wonderful evening and mind-blowing sex, they agree to give themselves to each other for as long as time permits.

Tyler is a good coach and Issy along with the rest of the team are moving toward their goals of winning the season and preparing for the professional team recruiters. Unfortunately, not everything goes according to plan.

Issy and Tyler's relationship is powerful and scorching. The many years of yearning and longing is causing Izzy's heart to explode with love. Tyler knows that Issy is the one for him the moment their eyes met at their first rugby practice. Intimacy is given a new definition with every sexual encounter and moment spent together.

I enjoyed this novella. It is a fast-paced erotic romance with truly likeable characters. I found the characters well-developed and engaging, within the confines of a short-story. Issy's brother Adam is an interesting secondary character, I believe a story about him would be hot; hint, hint. If you are looking for a quick, erotic read with an refreshing plot, give this novella a try!

    Rugby and Romance
The erotic short from Ellora's Cave was a quick spicy fun read. It had childhood crush and woman rugby player set in New Zealand.
While not very meaty, these are fun tropes and I hope we come back to the world of women's rugby.
    Fun read!
I was given this book for my honest review. So, there you have it.
