BE AWARE: This is an overpriced board book

Nowhere online did B&N indicate that this is a 6in. by 7in. board book. And nowhere online would I have EVER paid six and a half dollars (plus shipping) for a 6in. by 7in. board book. I took it back to the store, but shipping was not refunded. Boo.

    Great book...deceiving advertisement.

    It Looked Like Spilt Milk

It Looked Like Spilt Milk is one of my very favorite children's storytime books. As a teacher, I used this book to do a whole theme in teaching. We blot painted w/the bright royal blue paper and white paint and I asked the children (2/3yr.olds) what their picture looked like, we had pudding in a cloud, used the book w/a flannel board of the pieces simply cut out of laminated white construction paper with velcro attached. And we finished our unit by going outside lying on our backs and looking at the clouds to find our own characters in the sky. We also talked about making mistakes (crying over spilt milk) and asking for forgiveness and how God will forgive us. just bought the BB book & hardback for my first grandbaby.

    more from this reviewer

    Great Book!

I bought this book for my 4 year old granddaughter based on a recommendation from a friend. My granddaughter and I both love it and read it at naptime, bedtime and I plan on getting my 2 year old grandson hooked on it too. We play cloud games when we travel or are outside.

    Highly Recommended

Terrific book to teach imagination. I used it in a Haitian 2nd-3th grade class. Then we made our own book with paint and sting. The teachers and childen were amazed and awed that they could make their own book. Fantastic Book!!!

    Great book!

This is a great book that helps kids think about objects in different ways. I bought this book for my two year old son and he loves it! We have read it so many times that he already has most of it memorized. It is fun to watch him "read" the story by himself.

    Perfect for Language Experience!

A beautiful book for developing language in young children and English Learners. Provides an excellent avenue for drawing young readers into a book with simple drawings and repetitive language that helps beginning readers develop confidence. Perfect framework for individual students to produce their own clouds and sentences to contribute to a bulletin board for a future classroom book.

    Teacher's Perspective

I work in a Toddler Classroom and we recently took this book out at our Local Library. I had no idea it would be such a huge hit. Our children love it and so do the teachers.

    Cute book

It's just a little books about all the things clouds can look like -- an ice cream cone, a tree, a flower, a birthday cake. Simple text - your child can memorize it quickly. We have a lot of fun with this book.
