This is a good language program. However, this particular title is not extensive, and is mainly consisted of vocabullary translations. Also, most of the words on the textbook are not spoken on the CD or vice-versa. I wouldn't recommend it for people looking for a learning tool that focuses on conversations. The lessons from middle to the end of the book involve more real-life conversations, but it is done in a manner that is not actually in a conversational pace or mode. It's a good book for learning voccabulary or grammar structure, but not as strong for conversation. Also, because of the missing words on both the textbook and the CD, I think the publishers should try and fix the errors to replace this current one on the market with an updated version.

The set up of the book and the idea of having a book and CDs is great. Just be warned that the book and the CDs frequently do not match. Specifically, there are 40 lessons ( I have completed 28 of them do far). In each lesson, words/phrases are in bold type. Those are what you're supposed to hear on the CD. The CD frequently (1) proceeds in a different order than what is printed in the book, (2) skips words and phrases that are bolded in the book, (3) says things that are not in the book, and (4) sometimes the speakers speak so fast you cannot understand how to pronounce words. Notwithstanding what I just said, I find this method to be helpful for pronounciation and my ability to read the language. But, for conversational purposes - being able to form sentences in my mind - perhaps not so helpful for me. If you memorize the phrases that will do it. But, this method has not provided me with the means to form my own independent sentences.
