For the Lost Witches (Stregas) of Italian Heritage

    Dear Fellow Readers.
When I found out I came from a line of Women in My Mother's side, who praticed the "Old Ways" of Witchcraft, it was when My Mother was dying. Looking back, I now can see some of the things She did in the home & outdoors, was because She was a "Strega" an Italian Witch.
She didn't raise me as one, I was raised Roman Catholic by my Aunt. But when I found out, this was THE book that introduced me to my Witchcraft heritage. This was the 1st book I read, devoured, and looked for more. The author is Raven Grimassi, an expert, in my opinion, on the subject.
If you are interested in Italian Witchcraft, curious, or seeking the path of the "Old Ways," start with this book first.
    Blessigs,
    Donna Swindells

    Some-what helpful

I didn't really read this book. To tell the truth, it wasn't even my book. A friend and I bought it and she looked at it. She told me that it was fairly interesting. All I know is that it gave a lot of information on symbols and stances(calling the corners) and the elements. Over all, I would say to only buy it if you had a bit of money to waste, or if you were really interested in the ways of these people. Basically, most of the book was on beliefs, customs, and religion. I'm not too interested in that kind of thing for light reading. But, hey. If you are Italian yourself, or are just interested in the culture, go for it.
