Marriage --for possession... or passion?
Luciano Peretti may still be the handsome and hot-blooded man she fell for six years ago, but now Skye wants nothing to do with him! She can't forget Luc's rejection of her then, or how she refused his wicked family when they tried to bribe her to end her pregnancy. Since then, she's raised her son single-handedly--poverty-stricken but proud.
But Luc is determined to take back the bride and the child who were stolen from him--and there's one quick and effective way to do it: marriage!

I really love this story... for once the guy is sweet and loving. I was getting tired of alpha males who only think about sex and power.

First book I read of Ms Darcy is "Ramirez Bride", unfortunately I didn't like it. However, I thought I'ld give her book another try. What can I say, I became a fan of hers on this book. This book is very well written, and very clean. Some of the Harlequin books I've read has very provocative sexual content, but this book is about the story of two people's sacrifices and trials that they both endured and in which they have both conquered in the end. I just simply loved it! Oh and by the way, don't forget to have a box of tissue right next to you while reading this book.

Beautiful story, very well written. Emma Darcy gave us a hero that was good looking, rich and honorable. The heroine, Erin, had to conquer her trust issues due to her selfish parents, and learn to trust. Peter was more understanding than most.
My only criticism is: whoever writes the blurb and does the cover. Do they ever scan what the book is about? The hero was fair, not dark. It shows them on a bed while she is pregnant when he did not know of her pregnancy until a few hours before the birth and the blurb said that Erin was a schoolteacher! She was an author! Harlequin should get a better staff because this is something they do all.the time. Any half naked couple in the throws of passion is all.they need to sell books.
