"You realize, don't you, that among all the religions, faiths, and testimonies throughout history, Christianity is the only one where God reaches out to man? All the others are dependent upon man's trying to please their gods. Some even have to get his attention. They ring bells; they clang gongs; they hang paper messages; they chant; they need priests. Our Lord answers a whispered prayer, and is closer to us even than breath. Imagine."

Fiction/present and/or realities?  Betty Jackson weaves a great story.  She hooks you from the very beginning!  Not just a love story---she gives interesting though-provoking ideas of what the end times could look like.  She urges each of us to take seriously the need to witness and/or accept redemption NOW while it is still available.
