Since its 1998 self-titled debut, Eve 6 has carried the burden of being slightly ahead of its peers. It boasts smart and clever lyrics, charging guitars, and astute musicianship. Perhaps this is why Eve 6 hasn't garnered the number of top singles it should have achieved by now. In sticking with its formula, Eve 6 has filled its latest album, It's All in Your Head, with catchy songs -- musically and lyrically. The first single, "Think Twice," is a musically fun romp trickling antagonistic lyrics. The best song on the album, "At Least We're Dreaming," is relentlessly hook-laden and will capture the minds of the most cynical music fans. It's All in Your Head shows more emotion than past albums, offering a variety of moods, including the Suicidal Tendencies-turned-pop angry flavor of "Still Here Waiting" along with melancholy "Hey Montana" and sadness "Without You Here". However, It's All in Your Head doesn't have the punch that Eve 6's previous albums possessed. There are standout tracks but, although well done, they slip out of mind when the album ends. Nevertheless, it's a welcome offering. Once again, Eve 6 will probably find it difficult to connect with fickle music fans used to punk-pop and rap-rock. But that doesn't mean that it's an album not worth picking up.

    good but not great

This CD has some really good songs on it. The first four tracks are catchy and very cool, especially the first two. However, I have trouble listening to this album all the way through because it leaves me wishing it were the band's first CD. Buy Eve 6's self-titled debut and if you like that a lot, check this one out.

    My New Favorite Band!

I know that Eve 6 kind've lost it with their "Horrorscope" album, but their new album "It's All In Your Head" has totally made up for it. I did lose interest in these guys because of "Horrorscope", but now that I have purchased "IAIYH" they are now in my CD player 24/7. I highly recommend that anyone that has a shread of good taste buy this album. The new album has awsome guitar and lyrics. I love it because everyone can relate to the lyrics in almost every song. It also has good language so if you have morals you dont have to worry about it.

    Inspirational Lyrics and Music

The new album "It's All in Your Head" has very deep lyrics that make you think twice about their meanings. They relate a lot to teenage/college years. Very nice harmony from the whole group. One of my favorite lines from a song is "Promise that forever we will never get better at growing up and learning to lie". The whole song is about how adults lose their innocense and how people should try to retain it throughout life so as not to "grow old".

    Best CD ever

This CD is full of 12 awsome songs that are follow Eve 6's famous stylistic beats and lyrics. Lyrics are not yelled like other rock bands so the meaning of songs is understood and the music is of a new and fun style. The lyrics are heartfelt and tell a story in every song. The music complements the feelings that go along with this story of lyrics making this a great CD as it reaches inside of you to pull you into the music and draw you into the world of these great songs. This world is realistic and brings understanding into our world as the lyrics show depth and thought. The music brings the lyrics to life with beats for them to groove to and follow while you have a great time listening to Eve 6's awsome new CD.

Eve 6 3rd Album their best EVER!

Okay, so maybe it's not the best yet but it got your attention huh? This album really does have it all! The edgey lyrics and unused words that you've grown to love (think "copacetic" from Horrorscope), the rocking guitar riffs, great bass lines and killer drums. Plus newer songs that you absolutely cannot get out of your head! This album has been in my car stereo since the day I got it and even my friends and family have it memorized already! (I of course, memorized it the day I got it.) So what are you waiting for!? Hurry up and buy this CD and get it all in your head!

Love the way that you shock, shock, shock me!

Honestly you guys... this CD rocks! There is pure emotion in the lyrics, and you can feel the messages of the songs through the amazing drum beats and guitars. Eve6 deals with serious topic as well as light hearted fun. They bring you the real deal in this one cellophane wrapped disk. I highly recommend you picking it up, or purchasing it off this fab site.

Not what I expected, but it still rocks!

There are 3 singers who have voices that make my heart smile, Michale Graves (formerly of the Misfits), Davey Havok (AFI), and yes, Eve6's very own Max Collins. When I saw "It's all in your head" at Tower Records, I picked up the CD, did a happy little dance, and skipped to the checkout counter. This album is much different from "Horrorscope" and their self-titled album, some of the songs are a little slower, not as poppy, but I'm still in love with it. Eve6's music has always had this power over me, whatever mood I'm in, Eve6 always seems like the right band to listen to. Good job with this album guys!

"Promise That Forever We Will"....Get Better and Better

As an Eve 6 fan, I was anxiously awaiting the release of It's All In Your Head. When the release date finally rolled around, I bought the CD. As it stands today is August 18, the IAIYH came out July 22--the album hasn't left my CD player since! The CD has everything that made me an Eve 6 fan from day one. Incredible lyrics from Max Collins, songs that just put you in a good mood, songs that touch on intricate life subjects without being pop-wordy, and a sense that the band just loves to play music! There is also a new diversity on the CD. 'Hey Montana' is far from "country twangy" as some may say. It is a showcase of vocals and lyrical content and it is clear evidence of the growth Eve 6 has gone through. 'Without You Here" and 'Still Here Waiting For You' touch back to punk roots and 'Not Gunna Be Alone Tonight' sounds similar to very high qualiity lesser known tracks 'Showerhead' and 'There's A Face'. 'Good Lives' (song of the "Promise that forever we will) and 'At Least We're Dreaming' are quintessential Eve 6 songs that having humming their beats all day long. IAIYH is a great accomplishment for Eve 6 and doesn't disappoint in any way!

    A must-hear!

Eve 6's long awaited 3rd release rocks from the opening track to the last. Their sound is a brilliant blend of Alternative Punk-Emo, Hard Rock, and Pop that you just can't help but move to. Front-man Max Collins's quirky, clever lyrics are so catchy, you may find yourself trying to sing along the first time you hear each song. This bands deserves MUCH more recognition than they have received so far. Hopefully, this may turn out to be their big breakout album.

    The real truth. . .

The title for Eve6's new abulm "It's All in Your Head" has a new depth to what people assume what is really happening. Because all in all, your fears develope from what your brain waves infer is dangerous, but it is all in your head. Just remember, you can overcome anything if you put you MIND to it. I really enjoy this abulm title and the CD is awesome.

    This CD is awesome!!

I bought "Horrorscope" three years ago the first time I listened to it I was hooked. I loved this album sooo much I decided to go out and the self titled ablum and I wasn't dissapointed. An Eve6 fan grew on me and i had to get the third album released three years later "It's All in Your Head".Eve6 changes their style with each album and this one goes back to the hard rock roots. The album is amazing and has strong and catchy lyrics. Max Collins is a musical genious, has a beautiful voice, and can really play bass while Jon Siebles and Tony Fagenson are perfect on guitar and drums. Eve6 is pure divinty and very admirable. Their music is what gets me through the day. I have seen Eve6 play live five times and they are even better live if thats possible to get better than they already are. Give this CD a try if you listen to it once you'll be hooked.

Eve 6 getting better all the time

When I bought Horroscope, I was a little let down. Only a few of the songs were to my liking. But IAIYH is absolutly amazing! It doesn't matter what kind of mood you are in, there is a song to fit it. Their sound has matured so much over the years, and they only keep getting better. Buy this album today!
