Shawneda Mark's second novel, It's in My Blood, shines the light on the growing epidemic of HIV in America. The characters in this story were real people...could easily be your neighbors, your friends, or even family. I felt somehow connected to these people and found myself anxiously reading to learn how they would deal with the challenges presented to them by this disease. The story was well written and compelling.
