I heard of this book after seeing the authors on an Oprah's Life

I heard of this book after seeing the authors on an Oprah's Lifeclass show recently. This is a straight-shooter book written with great humor. The writing style made it easy to read and understand as well as made me laugh quite a bit.
I appreciate the advice of both Amiira and Greg. Being a newly single women in my early 40's, it helps me muffle thru the confusion of today's dating world.

    Still learning at 57

This book was not written for women my age however I learned a lot from it. Mostly I learned how low I had set my bar. Everything in this book I had heard before but never in this order. This time it stuck. I took myself off line for a break. If I ever go back on, I pay for a service and stick to my standards. If every woman of dating age demanded dates... We'd all be dating again on our terms. I'm an advocate of dating in a whole new way.

This creatively written book was in the perspective of two marri

This creatively written book was in the perspective of two married people, Greg and Amiira. They both set forth their opinions on today’s dating scene and what attitude to take on when dating. Their past experiences made it valid for them to write a book stating the obvious dos and don’ts when it comes to being with another human being. The twenty-first century has a weird dating theme, and it seems that nobody knows what the f**k to do when it comes to meeting new people and dating. The dating world a few decades ago used to be black and white, but currently with all the social media and games that people play, dating is grey and Greg and Amiira wrote a bit of clarification for people wanting to fix their love lives. And in this hilarious but blunt book, the authors simply helps you to identify what makes a date, a date. ‘It’s Just a F***ing Date’ has some repetitive themes within the chapters, and the stories aren’t one hundred percent relatable to a younger audience, but the overall tone to the writing was funny and a good slap in the face. The authors really want people to wake up and step out of their comfort bubble to meet new people, experience new things, and stop hiding behind lies and computer screens. Dating don’t always lead to relationships of hook-ups, it can actually help you find yourself and who you want to be. In the end I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars because I found it to be insightful and a well-said eye-opener, but I would not read this book twice. I recommend this book if your dating-life isn’t panning out how you want it to, and I find their blunt advice to be enlightening. Definitely a book to pass on to my friends who need a good slap in the face with dating advice and a perspective change.
