This books helps you visualize about the layout of your squares/quilts. It helps you learn to plan on graph paper how your quilt will look. This isn't a book about sewing and piecing techniques, it is about design and planning with lights, darks and mediums. I purchased this book in the fall of 2014 for a class and have not regretted it..
