Bought this book 8 years ago for my oldest two granddaughters. My third granddaughter has used it and won't part with it. So now my fourth granddaughter is potty training and I got her her own book. All four girls have enjoyed it immensely.
Love the fact that the book comes in more than one ethnicity. The first time I bought the book the little girl was black and this time a redhead and I like the diversity. Do wish more books had dark haired, olive complexioned children as most of the people in the world are dark haired.

This was a tough rating. The story was good. Brief, to the point, just like a toddler likes. The illustrations were great, as I wanted one that showed a grown-up potty, not a small training potty. I think this is the only book I could find that did that. I'm trying to get her to understand the purpose of the toilet before training begins. I felt showing her the big one she sees daily would help her put it together.
The thing that made me give this low rating is the horrible button that makes flushing/laughing noises. It is so loud that you can't read while it is going on, and it goes on forever. No joke. Forever. You are pretty much done with the whole book before it turns off. I think if it didn't have this feature, I would have rated it much higher. And, for anyone who has kids, you know that button will be touched. It is there, they know it makes noises, they will hit it. Ugh. Just cringing thinking about it.

My 2 yr old daughter loves this book. She asks me to read it to her at least twice each time she sits on the potty. The flushing noise is what makes the book so much fun. Colorful artwork and simple writing make this book fun. Use whatever words you like for potty, pee-pee and pooping and this book will still be fun.Was this review helpful?
