Small businesses in America hire more employees than all Fortune 500 companies combined. In short, the small businessman is the lifeblood of our nation's economy. It's Your Business shares practical tips from a seasoned entrepreneur that will help new small business owners implement the kind of practices that build a foundation for success.

Thomas Miller became a businessman at the age of ten when he developed the highest paying newspaper route in the state of Oregon. Later, after twenty years of practicing dentistry, he consulted with hundreds of small businesses while implementing the principles he shares in this guidebook. He leads the small businessman on a step-by-step process that shares the four cornerstones of building a strong foundation for a business; the differences between managers and leaders; ways to stay focused and get things done; methods for hiring the right people; and techniques for communicating eff ectively with both employees and customers. Miller includes advice from business gurus, sample vision statements, a business plan template, and several human resources forms.

Through its proactive approach and easy-to apply advice, It's Your Business provides valuable information for small business owners that will successfully lead them from a dream to the grand opening.
