This book is a very easy read. I found it informative and comforting.

Of all the books I've bought on IVF and infertility, this is the one I have been most disappointed with. The book does provide some good practical tip sheets on minimizing the pain of shots and what to tell family members you need during an IVF cycle. But overall it left me wanting because I was looking for more in depth info. In 75 small pages the book tries to cover everything from diagnosing infertility to completing an IVF cycle, meaning that no topic is covered in much detail. I would recommend The Couples Guide to In Vitro Fertilization by Liza Charlesworth instead, unless all you are looking for is a brief overview of the entire process.

One of the few infertility/IVF books that really sorts out the emotional aspect. Of course it gives the medical basics, but the emphasis is on mental and emotional survival. There is a terrific list included to give to your friends and family while you are cycling. I found this very valuable.

I am currently beginning my IVF cycle and I am so thankful to have found this book. It is small enough to fit in my handbag and take with me to my appointments. I have read and re-read the powerful lists and survival tips. I absolutely say 'Two thumbs up....way up!'

This book came highly recommended by my RE and I absolutely agree with him. I found comfort and knowledge in the writing. This is a must have for all IVFer's and their families.

I recently received my copy of this book and I love it. This is not someone else's personal journey, like most of the IVF books I have read. While reading this book, I felt like I had my best friends along for the infertility journey. Wonderful tips, sensitive advice, and a bit of welcome humor. Very informative and supportive. I really recommend it.

The Wayward Stork contained really good information about the IVF process, and it was presented in a humorous way. If you or someone you know is involved in IVF, I would highly recommend this book.
