Meet the Author

Biography
Tawny Stokes has always been a writer. From an early age, she'd spin tales of serial killers in love, vampires taking over the world, and sometimes about fluffy bunnies turned bunnicidal maniacs. An honour student in high school, with a penchant for math and English, you'd never know it by the foot high blue Mohawk and Doc Martens, which often got her into trouble. No longer a Mohawk wearer, Tawny still enjoys old school punk rock, trance, zombie movies, teen horror films, and fluffy bunnies. She lives in Canada with her fantastical daughter, two cats, and spends most of her time creating new stories for teens. You can visit her at www.tawnystokes.com.

    more from this reviewer

Ivy Watts has no idea of the direction she wants her life to go.

Ivy Watts has no idea of the direction she wants her life to go.  She quits college, goes home to tell her parents, only to find out her parents are going on vacation to Eden.  Ivy procures an invitation for herself and they all go together.  She meets and falls in lust with a take-charge, sexy German businessman, Jakob Werner.  Ivy rediscovers herself on the island and she and Jakob part ways at the end of their vacation.

The island of Eden is magical and gives you what you didn't even know you wanted or needed.  Ivy's parents' lives took a dramatic turn after their vacation and they couldn't be happier.  Ivy also makes some life altering decisions and she thought life couldn't be better until a surprise visitor shows up in her home town.  As always, there's a feeling of completeness at the end of each book.  Thank you Tawny Stokes for another fantastic story.

We are introduced to Ivy in the first book of the Hothouse serie

We are introduced to Ivy in the first book of the Hothouse series (Violet Is Blue). She gets her own book and it was so good! When the book starts, Ivy is your normal everyday 20 year old. She is in college with a boyfriend of three months. Ivy is an only child and her parents are still together, loving and supportive.

Then BAM! Ivy’s boyfriend breaks up with her; she quits college and moves back home with her parents. They are not happy about her dropping out at all, but are quickly distracted by the vacation to an exclusive resort that is by invitation only. Ivy, not wanting to be left out, works her magic and gets her own personal invite to Eden.

Getting to the resort, Ivy and her parents are split up. Her parents get their own cottage and Ivy is put in a room at the main building (aka castle!!). Determined to relax and enjoy her vacation, Ivy sets out to the pool and thus begins her adventure with the mysterious stranger, Jakob. He is talk, dark, and handsome!

You must read this book! It was amazing. Ivy is such a strong willed young woman who seemed to have lost her way in life. Her vacation is exactly what the doctor ordered. The book is the second in a series but can easily be read as a standalone. Vivi Anna/Tawny Stokes is an amazing author who captures her readers from start to finish with her books. If you haven’t read any of her books, I highly recommend you check them out! You fall in love with the characters and cannot wait to see where the story will lead them! I look forward to more works from Vivi Anna/Tawny Stokes!
