JABtalk is a free speech communication application designed to help non-verbal children and adults communicate. Speech therapists commonly refer to JABtalk as an easy and effective augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device. Originally designed as a communication tool for children with special needs, JABtalk has evolved into a communication tool used by special needs children, stroke patients, toddlers, speech-language pathologists, and others.

    Parent of nonverbal child

    This app is not dumb, until recently people who could not talk were forced to use sign language, buy extremely expensive devices, or have no voice. The variety of apps that address augmentive communiction have made this technology available to many more people who otherwise wouldn't be able to get it.

    This is an app for people who cannot talk, so for all you people who called it dumb "shame on you". If you couldnt talk how would you feel? So stop being mean. Go read the bible.

    Great for my child and students

    I love the fact that you can import pictures of objects familiar to the child and customize the categories. I can take pictures of the centers in my classroom so when the child is choosing centers it is a familiar scene and uses the name we use so its comsistent.
    Great app for me as a sped parent and teacher amd the online video supports really helped me make the most of this app. I plan on using it for learning activities as well as a communication activity.

    OK

    If your hearing impared (deaf) like me taptotalk is better so I give it a 3. I also noticed that if you put a 1 star you should tell more why you didn't like it instead of putting "o thats dumb" or "dont get this app"

    Great app!

    I have not used this app yet. But I know it could be great. I really only wanted to see how it worked. My son is more verbal now, but this would have been great to have when we first got our dx. So I would recommend it to anyone with a non verbal or limited vocab kido :)

    good

    this app is good for non verbel people, but it was very hard to add more pictures and words for more vocability i tryed to us it in preschool , so took it out of my nook

    Can,t get menu!
