Meet the Author

Anne Mather always wanted to write. For years she wrote only for her own pleasure, and it wasn’t until her husband suggested that she ought to send one of her stories to a publisher that they put several publishers’ names into a hat and pulled one out. The rest as they say in history. 150 books later, Anne is literally staggered by the result! Her email address is mystic-am@msn.com and she would be happy to hear from any of her readers.

I liked this book. Jack and Rachel are married and in love but circumstances outside of their control are set on dividing the couple. Add a dash of schemers, a pinch of liars and a dab of murder and you've got yourself a good read.

I had doubts about purchasing this book. There weren¿t any reviews and the excerpt I read was basically: After several miscarriages the woman she believes to be her husband Jack¿s mistress, Karen, pays Rachel a visit. Karen says she is pregnant with Jack¿s baby. Something which, she points out, Rachel is obviously not capable of giving him. She also tells Rachel that Jack wants a divorce. I¿ve found, from past experience, Anne Mather¿s ¿heroes¿ can be real jerks. But I figured if I bought the book and Jack turned out to be the jerk he sounded like I had no one to blame but myself. I was pleasantly surprised. The real story in this book was that of two people who loved each other deeply and wanted to have a child together. Each thought the other had to have a baby to make them happy. Sadly, they didn¿t communicate this to each other which led to a complete misunderstanding. Enter a slightly unbalanced and delusional woman and they almost lost everything. My nephew and his wife tried for years to have a baby. After four miscarriages and two surgeries she finally gave birth to Gabriel, our miracle baby. I saw the heartache and disappointment they suffered over the years and I saw the same with Jack and Rachel. Fortunately, in both cases the love of two people for each other was strong enough to survive anything. I would definitely recommend this book.

I was disappointed with this book and would never read it again. The story was shallow and filled with a lack of trust on the part of the wife. She appears to be childish and insecure and very much a part of the couple's problems. Instead of acting like mature and loving adults this couple hides things from one another and deviates from the truth. i would not recommended it to anyone although people have different tastes in what they like to read.

Jack Riordan was gorgeous and a real man. However, Rachel had her fears about her husband: they'd grown so far apart since they'd failed to have a child. But a real man needed a real woman-and Rachel was determind to win him back. She would seduce him, and let him love her. And maybe she'd conceive-and carry to full term-Jack's much wanted baby... The summary of this book really does not do it justice. Its filled with heated arguments, passionate affairs, and action.
