Jack the Ripper coffee table book

Looking at the description I thought I might receive a fairly complete coverage of these crimes, but the book was very short, brief in its treatment, offered no new insight or independent analysis, and it lacked some very basic things, like a map, timelines and charts that might have gone some way to enabling the reader to understand what happened. I would advise anyone interested in this book to save their money and invest in something a little more complete and accurate.

    Good read

It's a good read for the people that want to read and know about jack the ripper and what happened but the letters were hard to read i could read some of it but i think i missed some of the important facts because i couldnt read some of what they were writting. It would've of been better if the writter of the book rewrote the letters so people wouldnt miss what was going on in them.

    Unique style

I bought this as a gift for my brother but we were both enthralled with the reproductions of the actual crime investigation materials. This is unique in that there are not photocopied pages but 8x10 page sized envelopes within the tome that hold these individual pages of reproductions.

Granted, the handwriting was difficult to make out in some cases but but we were both surprised by the ingenuity of the offerings and the fact that these inclusions made the book all the more interesting.
