Overview

I'm Scarlett Ryan.

Yes, THAT Scarlett Ryan.

I live an extraordinary life: millionaire rock star, owner of exotic cars, pictures of me in every magazine, millions of fans, and a name that is recognized world wide. It's supposed to be my dream come true. But, my life IS a fantasy, and I want real. I want exciting. I want... NORMAL. So, I moved from California to Florida, hoping to obtain some normalcy. Instead I find...

Stephan Montgomery.

He's an arrogant jerk. Seriously, I hate him. I swear if he tells me one more blonde joke, I will punch him... again... Unfortunately I can't stop thinking about him, or his gorgeous green eyes. Trust me, I know that he's bad for me. If only my heart would listen.

I also find out that my parents have kept a LIFE CHANGING secret from me. I need to know the truth.

The harder I strive for normal, the stranger things seem to get.

This book has love and laughter.... What more could you ask for?

Jaded is a book about a young female rockstar named Scarlett. She decides to take a break from her crazy life and moves to FL to attend High School. Her first day she meets a gorgeous set of brothers and starts to fall head over heels for bad boy Stephan. Through this book Scarlett deals with first time love, trying to get along with the girls at school, discovering a family secret, and trying to find her missing sister. I will say though, the ending is a killer! You will be craving book 2!

I felt the Author did a great job writing a unique storyline with just the right amount of details. There were twists in the book that kept you guessing and the characters were very relatable. I would recommend this book to all readers!!

¿Maybe I can at least make one friend who isn¿t obsessed with me

“Maybe I can at least make one friend who isn’t obsessed with me. Though, let’s face it, that might be difficult.”

I had a really hard time connecting to Scarlett in this book. She was immature and conceited. Frankly, she wasn’t very likable. I really had to struggle through some pretty strong feelings about her to get to the story.

Once I was able to look past her flaws, I was able to begin enjoying the story more. I even began to feel some sympathy for her. She really hadn’t had an easy life. Sure, she was worshiped by millions, but she was missing love. Neither her mother nor her father gave that to her. They used her. She had been abandoned by her older sister. She needed true affection. She wanted normal life. One thing Scarlett Ryan wasn’t was normal. No matter how hard she tried to be.

“I’m not against love. I just think that love is a serious word. I have never told a girl that I love her and I want it to mean something. I want the one and only girl I say it to, to be my wife.”

The blurb for this book paints Stephan out to be some arrogant jackass. I never felt that about him while I was reading this. I was expecting some jerk alpha male bad boy, but that’s not what I got at all. Sure he was stubborn, but he was also a good guy. I liked Stephan a lot more than I liked Scarlett, if I’m being totally honest.

I was pretty genuinely surprised at the direction in which this book went. I was expecting a light and fluffy love story, but it gave me more than that. I’m not going to spoil anything, because there are some pretty major secrets divulged throughout the course of the book. Though I didn’t find the side characters to be incredibly well-developed, I really liked Ethan and Bridgett. I’m looking forward to reading more about both of them in the next books.

By the end, I was genuinely interested in seeing where the story went and whether or not I would ever come to truly like Scarlett.

I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    ROCK ON!!!!

10*s. I received an eARC copy of this book directly from the author in return for an honest review.

This book is intriguing, entertaining, and a very fast paced read!! I love Scarlett and her way of wanting and craving to fit in and be normal. The author knows how to capture the life of a teenager and keeps you sucked in from beginning to end. I am really anxious to read more from this author. This author is going to be the big Indie Author for teens/YA. This is a MUST read that will keep you craving for more and will hit your music side. I feel like I could relate with the character and she actually felt real. Thank you, Mercy Amare, for this realistically amazing story that I love and can't wait to read more of your work!!

I loved Jaded, once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down. Mercy did a great job writing this book. I loved Scarlet, Stephen, Ethan and all the other characters in this book. The character development in Jaded was great. I can't wait to get the next book in the trilogy and see what happens next.

In my opinion, this is Mercy's best work! It had me at the end of my seat waiting for what was going to happen next. Things just kept coming out of left field and it just all fit together. The first book in the Rock Star Trilogy ROCKED!

    Pretty good

I feel like at times the main character can get a little whiny and needy but over all it was a good book.
