Originally released on LP in 1968 as a ten-song sampler for Trojan Records' Blue Cat imprint, Jamaican Memories became a highly sought item on the collectors market. By the '90s bootleg copies of Jamaican Memories began to turn up, and these became highly coveted as well. Trojan has finely released this little soul-inflected rocksteady gem on CD, adding in both sides of eight concurrent singles from 1968 issued on Blue Cat as bonus tracks, which makes a great set even better.
